Perform all aspects of architecture, design, and implementation of a data warehouse. Skilled at using SQL Server 2012 SSIS and implementing C# scripts, T-SQL scripts, SSIS expressions, and many other tools.

Key Accomplishments:

Built complicated ETL processes with many transformations using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2012 to load data from multiple data sources and populate multiple destinations. Senior Manager Financial Systems

Oversee five financial analysts who support Business Objects Planning and Consolidations (SAP BPC) for all financial analyses, financial planning, and internal/external financial reporting. Administer BPC Application Sets including dimension maintenance and fact table loading with actuals, budgets, and forecasts. Manage BPC production, staging, and development environments. Administer the change management process during software version upgrades and implementation of new functionality.

Key Accomplishments:

Coordinated implementation of SAP BPC with up to five consultants who assisted in the development of new functionality for Amtrak’s allocation models.

Designed and managed the development of a rule-based cost allocation system built with SQL Server 2008; built many SSIS packages to populate SSAS cubes with general ledger data and statistical data from other systems; supervised the transfer of the system from the legacy Walker Systems data model to the SAP ECC (FI/CO) data model. Designed and implemented input templates for allocation rule entry as well as reports from the allocated data. The design of the databases involved modeling data for a destination/staging environment.

Developed BPC Excel based report templates utilizing EVDRE functionality and EPM 10; created BPC input schedules, developed advanced logic files, and created data manager packages to extract data from BI/BW (FI/CO) data and load into BPC cubes.

Build AppSets and Environments for planning and analysis including BPC logic files to calculate standard labor rates for forecasting, Rate cube creation and population, dimension design including multiple hierarchies for cost centers and accounts, and calculated member creating in dimensions to facilitate easier end user report creation.

Develop and deliver end-user training for creating reports in SAP BPC.

Managed the migrations from OutlookSoft Everest 4.2 to OutlookSoft 5.0 to SAP BPC 7.5 and finally to SAP BPC 10.0.

Developed parts of a financial planning and reporting package using SAP BPC. Administered OutlookSoft solution including providing daily support and maintenance. Built various Data Manager Packages to create flat file exports from dimensional data for import to other external systems.

Developed Data Manager Packages in SQL Server DTS (SSIS) to perform Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) tasks that imported and transformed flat files from a PeopleConnect database containing employee work time and vacation time for an employee cost buildup model.

Utilized ActiveX scripts and T-SQL tasks in Data Manager Packages (extended SSIS) for loading information into a dimensional database (SSAS) designed for data warehousing of financial and project-related data.

Consulted on data warehouse project for a company specializing in remote management of intensive care units in hospitals.

Key Accomplishments:

Tracked defects and developed a test plan and designed a testing process for the ETL (SSIS) and OLAP (SSAS) systems in development and all reports using the data warehouse.

Assisted in the development of a comprehensive project plan (Microsoft Project) for the data warehouse project by adding detail to the plan’s testing and design phases.

Installed and configured a complete Quality Assurance environment for testing the data warehouse including installing an application and a database server; developed processes for reliably moving objects from the development to the quality assurance environment while preserving the integrity of the environments.

As functional manager, provided technical lead for group of database administrators completing various passport creation contracts for the US State Department. Project manager for an extraction, transformation, and loading project. Developed the plan and coordinated meetings and design sessions for the development and implementation of a complex DTS package that extracts data from 16 external sites and imports that data to a central location for querying and reporting.

Implemented and configured SQL Server 2000 replication, both transactional and merge, for a development environment.
