Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd, Solapur, India August 2011- July 2013

Responsible for production and quality of Cast iron (Grade: FG-200, FG-220, FG-240, FG-260) and Spheroidal Graphite Iron castings such as Cylinder head, Cylinder Block, Break Drum/Disc.

Worked with R & D Team for the development of water jacket head and cylinder block for international customers Hino Motors- Japan, Nissan, and JCB.

Responsible for all metallurgical inspections including microstructure, hardness and tensile strength analysis, non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, chemical composition analysis by spectrometer, Failure analysis.

PROJECTS:

University Of Cincinnati, Ohio January 2014 –Present 1. The Effect of Ultrasonic Nanocrystal Surface Modification on Fatigue Behaviour of Low modulus Beta Titanium (TiOsteum) alloy

Demonstrated the effects of UNSM on fatigue strength, mechanical biocompatibility and corrosion resistance of solution treated Ti-35Nb-7Zr-5Ta-0.3O (wt %) alloy

The effect of residual stress, near surface microstructure and deformation behavior were studied by using various material characterization tools such as XRD, SEM, EBSD, TEM, Nanoindentation, etc. 2. Corrosion Prevention using Synergistic effect of Inhibitors July 2010 -May 2011

Performed experiments to prevent Corrosion in marine environment by using synergistic effect of Sodium Nitrite and Potassium chromate inhibitors by two methods, namely, conventional weight loss method and Gamry test. 3. Corrosion Prevention of Powder Metallurgical samples using Steam Treatment. January 2010-May 2010

Performed experiment to prevent the corrosion of powder metallurgical samples of different densities by using Steam treatment and validated the results by studying properties like mass gain, hardness and microstructure
