Checked candles being processed from beginning; testing wax temps,

pouring of wax by machines on line, appearance of candles in glass or

free-standing, wick lengths and position, to packing and pallet lay-out.

Performed burn tests to insure product was within customer specs, then

entered data into computer at shift’s end. Also filled in as Line Leader

when needed, printed labels for boxes, then wrapped and moved pallets

using hand-jack. Wrapped pallets with electric pallet wrapper and by hand.

Scheduler/Inspector

Began as a lens inspector in Quality Control, visually inspecting lenses

for any flaws out of customer’s specifications, then, after being chosen

for special project, was promoted to Scheduler and worked closely with

Logistics department. Scheduled the work for 14 finished lens molding

machines on a weekly basis including weekends. Often had to schedule

a few weeks out to meet customer orders and share machines with other

scheduler to insure all runs were done in timely manner. Was able to

coordinate all this effectively and efficiently.
