ENGINEERING PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

Michigan Technological University

Project title: Inter Vehicular Communications to avoid Collision during Changing of Lanes Fall 2014

Vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to Infrastructure communications is implemented in this project. Every vehicle is given a specific range in order to communicate with the other vehicle

802.11 Wireless Protocol is used for communication between vehicles and to generate a warning signal when they are dangerously closer.

MATLAB based simulation environment is used to create the real time scenario of vehicles. Project title: Enhanced S-MAC (Sensor-MAC) protocol to improve the power efficiency Spring 2015

Modified the S-MAC by redesigning the sync protocol and making it adaptive to a variable duty cycle for listening window.

Clock drift is kept constant and the fastest node is considered to be the base node in order to overcome the synchronization problem. Adaptive listening scheduler and robust priority medium access are implemented to increase the energy efficiency.

Wireless sensor network containing two subnets and a common node are simulated in the JAVA based simulation environment. Project title: Simulation of EDGE system and OFDM system over Wireless Multipath Channel Spring 2015

Wrote a MATLAB code for 8-PSK transmitter and passed through exponentially decaying multipath channel which randomly updates for every 100 bits.

Received signal is equalized using DFE and DDFSE criteria to remove multipath affects and BER is calculated and compared for different SNR.

OFDM system is implemented for same transmitted signal and decoded signal at receiver. MATLAB and SIMULINK has been used as a platform Project title: Blind Source Separations using ICA and SFA techniques Spring 2015

Audacity software is used to generate the mixed signals. These signals are separated using ICA and SFA techniques.

Normalized Mean Square Error and correlation are calculated in order to evaluate the performance of these techniques.

These techniques are evaluated in MATLAB

Project title: Implementing the different Image Processing techniques using MATLAB Fall 2015

Square averaging Smoothing filter & order statistic filter of user selected side length is implemented using MATLAB.

Wiener filter, constrained least square filtering and Multi resolution analysis is also implemented using MATLAB.

The noise spikes in a noisy image is detected and a filter is developed to remove the noise at particular co-ordinates.

Deblurring the blurred image using the inverse filtering is also implemented in MATLAB.

Image Compression using the DCT algorithm.

All these techniques are implemented so as to remove the noise from the image and also to compare between different techniques to see which one removes the noise to a great extent. The results are compared with the MATLAB programming that is done using the Image processing tool box. Project title: Automation of street lights by vehicle movement Spring 2014

Prototype of the project is developed using the LM358 Sensors and 8051 Microcontroller. MAX232 is used as interface. Keil software is used to dump the code into the 8051 micro controller.

Microcontroller is programmed to provide different duty cycle at different traffic density conditions so as to increase the power efficiency. GSM technology is used to alert the crew whenever there is any failure of the street light.

Embedded C language is used to program the microcontroller
