I presently have varied duties as we are a small office so I do the general domestic and commercial underwriting and management of the claims including all Recovery and Third Party Approach aspects. I am the only qualified staff member so I provide advice, I also arrange quotations and obtain new business. On the accounting side I am in charge of the debit runs for monthly premiums, reconciling of accounts, invoicing for annual policies and payments across to insurers. I also am the compliance person in the office and keep abreast of all changes by the Financial Services Board that affect us as a Brokerage.

My initial role in this company was that of an insurance broker calling on new clients and servicing existing clients. This role I fulfilled for around two years or so and then moved into office management role and controlled the staff and made sure that the running of the office went smoothly.
