Volunteer, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Livonia, MI (NODA –No One Dies Alone) program (2008-date).

Sitting by hospice patients in the last hours of mortal life. This is to provide support and the relief from despair that only a loving companionship can give to the departing thus easing their exit. Although unable to talk at this point, sensing the presence of a compassionate human being gives them a feeling of being loved and being cared for which is all they need to withdraw painlessly from their bodies.
