Hiring Manager, Ohio University Culinary Services, Athens, Ohio (2014-Present)

Recruit approximately 200-250 new student hires for more than 500 shifts in 3 different areas within Ohio University’s food preparation facility.

Schedule approximately 40 people for 80 daily shifts. Arrange coverage for shifts when employees call off.

Arrange regular meetings with managers to keep them apprised of new hires in their departments.

Administer the daily online application page to determine if candidates’ schedules will match up to available shifts.

Complete all new-hire paperwork including payroll forms, I9 forms and W4 forms. Ensure direct deposit forms are completed properly for new hires. Input data in online payroll system.

Maintain roster sheets in Excel showing total daily shifts, master employee information sheets, termination sheets, and daily appointment/interview sheets.

Work closely with international students and minors to ensure proper paperwork is received in a timely fashion prior to their start-date.

Monitor status of signage throughout county to ensure signs up to date and comply with current specifications. Create, repair and install all road signs throughout county.
