- Completed Security+ certification

-Helped migrate the PEO from Windows XP & Vista to Windows 7.

- Researched, designed, installed and managed a document management system (Hummingbird DM) for a PEO project office. The system had 7500+ documents. Helped with importing this system to Laserfiche.

DUNLOP:

- Designed and installed a plant-wide fiber optic/Cat5 Ethernet network (180 node) using Synoptics LattisNet/

LattisHub hardware (SNMP). Operating system: Novell Netware 3.11/3.12. Also provided plant wide training on network usage. Novell Netware 3.12 certification (CNA).

- Designed, programmed and implemented a tire uniformity data collection and analysis system (LAN aware). This system was driven by a host computer polling 12 slave computers on the plant floor (via RS-422). The slave units collected data directly from the PLCs on 24 uniformity machines (two for each slave). Balancer data is collected by employing discrete digital signals (BCD) to the slave. The QA and technical personnel lived and died by the results of these reports. Potentially saved the company several million dollars in scrap or downgraded tires.

-Designed, programmed and implemented an automated cure testing system. It employed 16 analog input lines (thermocouples) and collected temperature data from various places on or in the tire as it cured. The results were displayed graphically on the screen and plotted. Strawberry Tree, Inc., the analog card vendor, requested a brief write-up of this application of their card for publication in their April, 1993 catalog.
