PRO J E CT S
University Mars Rover Challenge: Team Olympus
Focus on the body design, motors and other physical properties of the system as well as making sure its ability to complete various tasks.
Duties included CAD Modeling, CAD Drawing, Analysis and report writing.
Research Project (KSC - NASA, AMES Research Center) Propellant transfer in micro-gravity
Using Slosh results, developed a model for propellant transfer in microgravity.
3D Model developed in Solidworks and simulated in Star CCM+.
Design Project
Wing Design for Un-Manned Aerial Vehicle
Designed a new airfoil, NG7206, with higher lift and lower drag coefficients. This airfoil was modelled by optimizing geometries of Selig 1223 RTL and Eppler 420a. 3D models were created in Solidworks, mesh generated in ICEM CFD – ANSYS and simulation was done in FLUENT – ANSYS.
The results were validated experimentally, using wooden models in wind tunnel.
SAE Aero Design West 2011
Jointly Organized by SAE and Lockheed Martin at Fort Worth, Texas. Roles played: Team Captain, Design Team – Head, Logistics and Finances, and Team Pilot. Founded Team Assailing Falcons, first SAE Aero Design team of VIT University.
SAE Mini-Baja 2010; Organized by SAE – India at Pithampur, India.
Design Team. Designed Roll cage and Suspension system using Solidworks. FEA Analysis using ANSYS.
