Experience Summary: (25+ years)

I have more than 25 years of professional experience in engineering and design. I have worked in gas process plants, and in oil refinery complying with ASME B31.3, B31.4 & B31.8 standards. I have worked on Power projects for coal fired boilers, and gas fired combine cycle power plants. All design work complying with ASME B31.1, AISC Steel codes, and MSS-SP-58 and MSS-SP-69 standard practices. Other project experiences include nuclear, mining and food & beverage. I worked as project lead directing designers, collaborating with all disciplines and construction to keep project scope on schedule and budget. Worked with vendors to coordinate the piping and steel materials to be shipped to construction to keep project on schedule.

EPCES (March 2015 to March 2016) Greenwood Village, CO Senior Piping Designer

At EPCES I was responsible for the development of piping specs collaborating with mechanical and process engineering for specs to meet code. Other work included development of 3D models, develop orthographic drawings, and BOM lists for construction. Also performed duties as checker for all issued piping documents on projects. I also worked with construction for the coordination of engineering design, design changes and required materials.

At URS I was responsible for creation of 3D models for Compressor Stations (midstream) and refinery plant upgrades. From the model develop orthographic, and piping isometric drawings, and BOM lists and line list for construction. At BP Refinery in Cherry Point WA, I performed walk-downs of P&IDs, locate tie-in points, develop demo drawings and prepare piping construction drawings for unit upgrades at the refinery. At Shaw responsible for pipe stress analysis and pipe supports for critical and non-critical piping complying with B31.1 Power Piping Code and MSS-SP58, and MSS-SP-69 Standard Practices. Review of steel drawings for coordination of piping and pipe support designs.

Projects include AP1000 DDF (V.C. Summer and Vogtle Nuclear Power) designing pipe supports with LICAD and Pelican Forge Pipe Support Modeler. Qualification of support frames performed using GT Strudl and MathCAD. Lead Designer for Pipe Supports on Turk Project (American Electric Power) with Ultra-Super Critical Coal Fired Boiler. Scope of work included all pipe supports for Turbine Bldg., Boiler Bldg., AQCS, Coal Handling Area, Fly Ash Handling, and Water Treatment Bldg. All pipe support design performed with LICAD and Support Modeler. Responsible for delivery of more than 17,000 pipe supports, with a $7.5 million budget. I was responsible for the scope and schedule of all pipe support steel. Answering RFIs and supporting construction by collaborating on design changes. Stress analysis on was performed on Caesar II pipe stress program, and pipe support design performed on Support Modeler.
