Program Title: Development of catalyst for the conversion of n-butane into iso-octane.
Description: This project emphasizes on the development of a bi-functional zeolite catalyst for the single step conversion of n-butane to iso-octane. It has both metallic and acidic centres which promote isomerization and alkylation processes involved in the conversion. The resulting iso –octane can be directly supplemented in the gasoline pool to enhance the octane number of the fuel.

Company: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakhapatnam
Project Title: Study of diesel hydro de-sulphurization unit and production of various grades of diesel.
Description: Hydrodesulphurization is a catalytic chemical process widely used to remove sulphur (S) from natural gas and from refined petroleum products such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, and fuel oils. Desulphurization of diesel is essential to meet the EURO standards.

Program Title: Total heat transfer rate of a cross flow heat exchanger.
Description: This project emphasizes on designing a cross flow type of heat exchanger that operates with two fluids (hot water and cold air). The temperature difference and other parameters are recorded and used for calculating the total heat transfer rate.
