Reporting to the VP and SMP human resources responsible for supporting the sr. management group of 400 employees on a shared services platform.

Provided human resources support and coaching on policies and procedures on a wide range of HR initiatives including but not limited to Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation Reviews, International Assignment and HR Administration. Provided change management and project management support to initiatives unique to the business that were less complex.

Partnered with AVP HRBP and the business to ensure full support throughout the lifecycle with regards to recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, development and succession planning.

Conducted regular HR onboarding for new employees within dedicated business unit.

Partnered with the Center of Excellence (COE) colleagues on HR systems, designs & delivery of practical HR implementation and functional tasks for Workday HRMS, and Ceridian payroll system integration.

Counselled and provided guidance on the day-to-day application of HR policies, practices and adherence to the HR policies and program and closely monitored and worked with various locations on employee issues or violations of the collective agreement. Maintained a healthy professional working relationship with the Union at all times.

Worked with and supported, Labour relations and management on progressive discipline, Disability (STD, LTD) on return-to-work cases, grievances and ongoing operational guidance, support and coaching.

Reengineered (rebuilt) the HR structure implementing programs, processes, tools, systems all aligned to the new MTO/SERCO service contract including designed and developed KPI’s using the Balanced Scorecard methodology, trained Senior Leaders to build and cascade KPI’s to the 56 Drive test centre leaders and employee population.
