Title: - “Biochemical Treatment of waste water”

Objective of this project was to obtain a better and more quantitative result shows remove oil and grease and to reduce water pollution and save large amount of water. There are three types of waste water treatment method i.e. physical, chemical and biological unit operations. Study the application of waste water treatment method i.e. primary treatment, secondary treatment, Tertiary / advanced waste water treatment.

Title: - “Study on Extraction of furfural from different sources and its applications in industries.”

This project deals with obtaining Furfural from Biomass. Biomass is obtained either from domestic waste or agriculture and forest waste. Synthesis of furfural from different materials, its identification, concentration determination, obtaining furfural resin from the obtained furfural. Furfural obtained by Dehydration, Hydrolysis process.

Furfural is an industrial chemical derived from a variety of agricultural bio product including corn cob, baggase, saw dust, rice husk, wheat bran, peanut shell etc. in its pure state it is a colorless oily liquid. NaCl catalyst, corn cob material & HCl were found to give best result for extraction of furfural.

Phenol furfural resin, Phenol formaldehyde resin, Poly (4-amino phenol furfural) Resin all are thermoset resin was prepared and characterized on FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red).
