I currently work with transitional kindergarteners through the 5th grade. I assist the transitional kindergarten teacher in teaching the children to learn to read, write their names, write letters, and numbers. I take small groups from 1st through 5th grades and work on language arts. The teacher will give me worksheets to work on with the children. We discuss the functions and procedures for completing the worksheet and then correct it. Sometimes teachers will give me clerical functions to perform in the office. I correct papers and file for sum teachers. I assist in the library, occasionally, filing books. I volunteer with after school and PTA activities. I take part in any trainings that may be offered or recommended.

I scanned the files into the computer using a scanner, verified that the papers had gone in the computer correctly, and corrected them if there were any problems.

I worked at the only high school in the corporation. I started out as a food service substitute, where I worked at several different schools, as needed. A few months later, I was offered a permanent position in the dish room at the high school. I began taking the dishes off of the racks and putting them away. The next school year I was moved to the dirty side of the dishwasher, where I was responsible for rinsing and racking the trays, pots, and pans for the dishwasher.
