PROJECT 6: HC3 Facets

Client: United Health Group (UHG)

Role: Developer

Duration: April 2015 – Till Date

Database & Tools: UNIX PERL scripting, SQL, ECG Cockpit.

The main scope of the project is to analyze and modify the existing Perl scripts which are already in the production, based on the member layouts given by the end clients. Modification was needed for migrating the scripts from one version to a higher version where the new database is embedded and the clients needed changes in their member layouts. More than 200 clients use theses Perl codes for the member information storage/retrieval and uses the HC3 Facets Database to store the member information of the customers. ECG cockpit is a front end application which was used by the client to see/retrieve the values stored in the facets database with the pre-conversion and the Configuration id codes. My contribution to the projects:

1.Worked on the Perl codes and modifications were made according to the requirements provided by the client.

2.Perl client logic documents were prepared as a part of pre analysis.

3.New Perl scripts were written to automate some of the processes like batch, email alerting.

4.Modify and test the scripts. With the test results provide the end code and implement in the production via ECAB.

5.Written Perl script to retrieve user field frequencies from the database which saves time and generates reports in excel.

6.Weekly/Monthly report generation and analysis

7.Business call - Handling the call with clients on critical & outstanding issues.

PROJECT 5: Alternate Funded Billing System (AFBS)

Duration: December 2013 – March 2015

As part of this project, I have written UNIX scripts and stored procedures to create jobs that run on daily basis. I had to automate existing jobs to decrease manual work, to monitor all the billing cycle process and the jobs running on a daily basis. Need to send the Monthly file for every month to the client destination based on the client requirements. My contributions to the project were:

1.To involve in requirement analysis by interacting with clients

2.To develop UNIX script and stored procedures to create jobs that run on daily basis.

3.To validate & unit test the developed code in lower environments.

4.To monitor the jobs running on daily basis.

5.To work on the SQR report for the requirement change.

6.Automation of the existing support processes to minimize manual effort and time.

7.As part of this project I had to optimize queries by identifying deadlocks, creating indexes, splitting long stored procedures to multiple short procedures.

PROJECT 3: ACR (Anthem Claims Recovery)

ACR (Anthem Claims Recovery) is an application that recovers money from providers, which had been overpaid by WellPoint for the submitted claims. The recovery specialist would identify the corresponding claim and recover amount.

My contribution to the project was:

1.To write UNIX shell script and C program for “ACR to Transcentra Interface” which sends a daily feed to the Transcentra System for Recovery letters through NDM (Network Data Mover) process.

PROJECT 2: Clearing House 5010

Client: Emdeon Business Services (EBS)

Clearing House 5010 is an intermediary system that is used to process or aid in the processing of information between trading partners. It is based on EDI.

My contribution to the project was:

1.To write codes for EDI – 837 (Claim Transaction)

2.To perform unit testing for the developed codes.

3.To write codes for post validation process that was needed for up-gradation of previous version (4010) to the new version 5010.

4.To generate reports for pre and post validation of version conversion.

PROJECT 1: ICD – 10 (International Classification of Disease)

ICD-10 is the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health problems (ICD), a medical classification list by the World Health Organization (WHO). It codes for diseases, signs and symptoms, abnormal findings, complaints, social circumstances, and external causes of injury or diseases.

My contribution to the project was:

1.To write codes for new diagnoses of diseases that had developed since the implementation of ICD09

2.To do unit testing for the developed codes.
