Duties & Responsibilities Powertrain Transmission/Battery for GFX Program:

PROCESSING PART TYPE WORK ORDER (PROC):

Responsible for updating GPDS per the intent of the PRT and contacted Responsible Engineer with all concerns. Processed PRTs according to specifications and approved for global use;

PORT OF ENTRY RELEASE PROCESS (UPC PREFIX 92):

Responsible for processing the PRT type WO intent as documented by the DE/DRE into the Global Product Description System (GPDS);

RELEASE DOCUMENTATION QUALITY CONTAINMENT:

Responsible for initiating Release Issues found during self-discovery and resolving issues reported by customers of the Master Parts List. If a containment issue or equivalent tracking mechanism (i.e. work order (WO) was initiated to address the issue, the issue was followed until the work order had been processed through specifications. Once an issue was entered into the database as “Closed” and processed through specifications it resulted in following several audits; created a new issue, assigned a Resolution Owner, set settings for email notifications, viewed, edited, and responded to the Issue Definition, Root Cause, or Solution; took corrective action describing a method/process that should be reviewed / performed in order for the issue to not occur in the future.

SPEC CORRECTION –USING SUPPLEMENT WORK ORDER:

Responsible for initiating a Supplement WO and utilizing GPDS to correct the discrepant parts/data. If a correction in the GPDS/MPL was needed, resolved the discrepant part or data by utilizing a specific process.

The Global Product Description System (GPDS), and E Squared (E2) was the Equipment/Logistics, and SharePoint accessed; used and updated in the varied responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities: Work directly with engineers on the Emerging Issues and Product Investigations Teams to review vehicle related records from data sources such TREAD, warranty, OnStar and other data sources; perform TREAD data base searches in response to leadership inquiries, special data requests and other search requests following established processes and procedures; perform data mining and text mining analysis of vehicle data from warranty repair information, customer complaints, OnStar, unstructured verbatim and social media, etc. for support to Product Investigators; analyze key database information across all of GM’s data entities in support of Product Investigations; assist investigators in evaluating relevant records by thoroughly reading verbatims and categorizing according to specific direction from the investigator. For GM, I maintained the E-Squared System, the release of a EWO and Temp EWO’s for the ASC Program. Additionally at GM, I maintained the Parts Resolution Tracking System.

Responsible for processing all EWO’s for the Z, J, 315/318 Delta vehicle lines. Duties required sending EWO’s common quote forms to suppliers for costs and timing, adding responsible buyers on to the EWO’s, receiving the quotes from the suppliers and signing off on the EWO’s after the buyer agreed to the piece and cost changes and tooling investments. Follow up with suppliers for feedback on overdue quote responses and work with buyers to help this new gatekeeper process become more effective and run more efficient.
