Professional Project Experience

1. Project E-Footwear

Description: This invention relates to the safety measures taken for elderly person in times of emergencies. This idea works on the principle of application of forces due to the body weight of the user on the slipper. The concept involves the sensing of the force applied by the user on the switches in the slippers. The press thus sensed is passed onto the receiver module through the transmitter, as long as the signal is sensed continuously the receiver module keeps the GSM in deactivated mode. If the signal from the transmitting module is interrupted more than the set time limit, the receiver activates the GSM which is incorporated with necessary text message or call options to the lit of contacts to be send.

2. Project RC Plane

Description: A Wireless remote operated Plane is made as per Aero-dynamic design and the control of wings and tail of the plane is done through servo-motors and receiver attached to it. A DC motor is attached to the front inorder to provide the required forward thrust and camera is attached to the bottom for the purpose of survelliance. 3. Project Quick Lift Of Scissor Jack Using Gears

Description: In order to minimize the time duration required for lifting a heavy body, a new design of scissor jack with Spur Gear attachment is made with Gear ratio of 1:5 so that the required height could be reached quickly in minimum period of time. 4. Project Suspension System Based On Rocker Bogie Mechanism Description: Rather than using springs & shock absorber as parameters for suspension, links are usedas the major parameters. By using links as suspension system the vibration & shocks produced during dynamics is very well reduced while compared to normal suspension system and the stability of the moving body is maintained.

5. Design and Fabrication of an ATV(an Off-Road Vehicle) Description: A special Four-wheel vehicle is designed and fabricated as per the guidelines of SAE rules and Indian Standards for Off-road usage and endurance of a Rough terrain. This project was aimed to develop a vehicle which is Safe, Ergonomic and has the lowest possible weight. A preliminary design was developed in a 3D environment using Solid Works, later the design is tested against all modes of failure using Ansys and Simulation Analysis is done using Lotus. 6. Design and Fabrication of multi-purpose Jig and Fixture Description: The main objective of developing the project to the industry is to achieve the interchangeable part concept which is much more useful when the production of goods is on large scale. The basic elements in the project are the component model, location, orientation and clamping. The scope of this project is to design and fabricate a multi-purpose jig and fixture for machining almost all geometrical jobs. Modeling is done using Solid Works software and analysis by using Ansys (Workbench). Based upon the results attained the model is fabricated and validated. In-Plant Training

Played active role on In-Plant Training for Three Days at “Kay-Ge Corporation”, Coimbatore. Played active role on In-Plant Training for Five Days at “Tuticorin Thermal Power Station”, Tuticorin.

Achievements

Designed and Fabricated an Off-Road Vehicle and participated in “MEGA ATV CHAMPIONSHIP-2016” organized by “Autosports India” held at Bhubaneshwar, Won overall 14th place.

Presented project “Suspension System Based On Rocker Bogie Mechanism” in Project Expo 2013 at Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Won 1st Prize. Presented a paper entitled “Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery” in National Level Technical Symposium at Rathinam College of Engineering, Won 2nd Prize. Presented a paper entitled “E-Footwear” in National Level Technical Symposium at Akshaya College of Engineering, Won 1st Prize.
