Caterpillar VIMS is an Advanced Diagnostic and Equipment Management Tool designed to lower machine operating costs. Continuous monitoring of wide range of vital machine functionality, it records the various elements of the truck cycle: load time, travel loaded, dump time, travel empty, Events & Diagnostics. All of this information is used to create useful reports and charts. These reports lead to intelligent analysis and better decision making for a more efficient operation.

Description:
Developing a software for network manager (Electronic Control Module) which gathers data from all the electronic control modules equipped in (such as engine, transmission control modules etc.,) off highway vehicles such as trucks and mining machines and send them as processed information to the back office to offer various required services to customers in improving the productivity and reducing the cost involved in the maintenance of the vehicles by forecasting the possible failures in a machine well ahead of time it can actually happen.
Responsibilities:
Converting the high level designs into software code by effectively making use of object oriented programming concepts with the good quality output.
Good debugging skills in finding the rootcause for the problem in hand with in a short span of time, which has been appreciated many times by the clients.

3. UMTS Call/Session Termination

Featuring Grid System and Edge Call/Session Termination capabilities, the Intelligent Cell Platform manages calls/sessions at the umts of the network, similar to a legacy UMTS/LTE network. Worked in the 3G IMS domain. Developed an IMS/SIP application server (AS) for the GSMA Video Share service. This was followed by additional ASs for Media Share services such as Media Broadcast, Media Storage and so on.
My responsibilities included technical as well as individual contribution in the areas of system requirements, design and implementation of modules.

Published a paper titled “Implementation of low power Frame Synchronizer and Code Group Detector for 3G Asynchronous WCDMA system on FPGA” at IJVSPA, Vol.2, Issue 5, Sep-Oct 2012.
