SUMMARY
My name is Bill Christian. My entire career has been in Maintenance Engineering with 27 years as either a Plant, Chief or Regional Engineer. Most of my career has been in Alaska where the remoteness translated to a lack of outside contractors. Production was seasonal which required an immediate and accurate response to all situations and emergencies.

WORK EXPERIENCE
COLONIAL WEBB CONTRACTORS 11/2015 – PRESENT
As a service technician in Industrial Refrigeration I am responsible for PM’s, installation, maintenance and repair as well as emergency calls for large scale refrigeration customers such as Smithfield, Cargill, Purdue Farms, etc. in Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, etc. This includes compressors, air units, condensers, purgers and all associated parts.
DEEP SEA FISHERIES 5/2014 – 8/2015
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of power generation, ammonia refrigeration, electrical, water, and all plant, housing and galley equipment as well as the training and direction for direct reports performing installation and maintenance on all plant equipment. This Included but was not limited to:
•3ea. – Cummins 600Amp generator sets.
•3ea. – Cat 525Amp generator sets.
•3ea. – Mycom 250HP ammonia screw compressors.

BERING PACIFIC SEAFOODS (APICDA) - CONTRACT JOB 9/15/2012 - 9/10/2013
As Plant Engineer. My project position was to plan, oversee and help with the construction of a large product freezer, increase kitchen and dining facility to handle 50 people, add two more blast freezers, install 100 ton North Star ice system, increase refrigeration capabilities, build off-site employee living quarters, build generator house and increase power generation capacity. This is a 12+ million dollar expansion with plans to process multiple species year around.
ALASKA GLACIER SEAFOODS - PROJECT JOB 1/2012 – 9/2012
Plant Engineer at a year around family owned and operated seafood processing facility. Project position that consists of installing the refrigeration for a North Star Ice house, Holding room freezer, condenser packages and plate freezer.
SILVERBAY SEAFOODS - PROJECT JOB 5/2010 – 9/2011
Plant Engineer at a second season salmon processing plant. This project position was to lead a maintenance staff in streamlining an unconventionally designed processing plant and make it more efficient. I was also required to build and submit a PSM program before the deadlines imposed by OSHA.
Some of my accomplishments were:
•Increased production and decreased freeze time by adding refrigeration horsepower
•Improved freezing and reduced freeze time by improving evaporator air flow
•Sealing blast tunnel ends to decrease freeze time
Devise airtight system to lower carts into tunnels
Addition of automatic defrost doors to assist with the hot water defrost
Build and instigate PSM program
Hiring and budgeting
PSM, RMP, CMMS, TPM, Lean and Root Cause Analysis.
Advanced salmon production from 11 million pounds, June to September of 2009 to almost 31 million over the same time span in 2011.
MILLARD REFRIGERATED SERVICES 2/2007 – 5/2010
Hired on as a plant engineer, and was quickly promoted to a regional engineer’s position.

Increase plant efficiency by installing a PLC refrigeration control system
Increase company revenue by assisting in putting 3 new plants on line in my region
Insure plant compliance by building PSM for new plants

TRIDENT SEAFOODS 3/1992 – 2/2007
Hired on as ships electrician and was soon promoted to a chief engineer’s position within the company.

Insured safety by Installing several ship wide operations and alarm systems
Increased company revenue and increased production by the installation of many
compressors, plate freezers, evaporators and ice makers
Increased ship and plant production by the Installation of many diesel generators
Increased production by upgrading several ships and plant generator voltage regulating and
control systems
Hiring and budgeting supervise ships in dry dock, supervise contractors during down time
