Reduced corrugate purchases 55 percent with redesign of packaging and consolidation of SKUs, which, in turn, reduced transportation, inventory, MOQ charges, and supplier lead times.
Held daily 5-minute waste reduction meetings with individual workers after teaching Kaizen and 5S company-wide. The meetings spawned a minimum of $28,000 each quarter in cost-reduction initiatives.
Teamed with Pizza Hut engineering and US franchisees in project to improve thermal efficiency of pizza pan to reduce cooking time. Outsourced the $1.5m project to casting and processing factories on-site monitoring of production in Suzhou, China.
