Product Designer
Capital Drilling Equipment (CDE). Design and sales order fulfillment of H-4 Connectors, Diverters, Test Stumps, Mandrels and Running Tools. Created and managed definitions of parts, modules, assemblies, drawings and Bills of Materials while working within guidelines of recognized engineering standards. Design software utilized was Pro-E Creo, PDMlink, Epims (PLM software) and AutoCAD.
Collaborated with manufacturing Testing & Assembly to create a new mandrel test fixture that was safer and had a projected cost savings of 200k annually in shop labor.
Accomplished 100% on time deliverables for Line of Balance on projects. Volunteering to work extra hours to ensure project due dates are met.
Utilized proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M to maximize manufacturing capabilities and ensure assembly make-up compatibility.
Enlisted as team member of “Project 20k”; an effort to build new drilling equipment capable of withstanding 20,000 PSI of pressure.

Tubular Running Services (TRS). R&D group of TRS specializing in mechanized rig systems; manufacturing products such as spiders, slips, power tongs, and other rig equipment. Created, assembled and managed large complex assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts and Bills of Materials throughout the design process. Design software utilized was Pro-E Wildfire, Pro-Piping, Pro-Sheet Metal, Pro-Intralink, Windchill and AutoCAD.
Contributed to the development of the RCS-500. A 500 ton, flush mounted, hydraulic rotary completion spider.
Implemented a drawing, part modeling and assembly construction best practices checklist for department personnel to use as a means of reducing errors and the time required during the check and release process. Checklists reduced the proliferation of error filled data sets.
Assisted in the creation and management of a vast commercial part library of models.
Mentored new employees in modeling, drafting, standards and GD&T.
Performed assembly and testing of various products in the shop and on the test rig.
