To offer opportunities and partnerships to current and future stakeholder with an emphasis on diversity and community uplift is the purpose of Human Resources.
I am passionate about Change Management, Diversity, succession planning and crafting a culture that embraces diversity and provides a strong work life balance. What draws people to work at your company? Why do they turn down the call from the recruiter to stay with your company when they could leave? What are the unique and biggest challenges you face as a company as it pertains to Human Capital Management? I have 3 pillars of achievement that will be an advantage.
HR Business Partner: Crafting communication workflows with multiple divisions nationally and senior leadership as a thought partner. Crafted new tools or augmented existing ones streamlining why, when and how we bring in talent with an emphasis on retention before hiring. This has resulted in reducing the recruiting cycle, increase in offer acceptance and increasing the amount of tenure with companies that struggled in those metrics.
Total Rewards & Diversity: HR employee events such as “Bring Your Child to Work Day” partnering with Diversity associations and addressing diversity needs in hiring and succession plans. I believe in having a Diversity Speaker Series so employees can address the touchy issues of race and gender and how that impacts a more inclusive working environment. This resulted in increasing candidate applications and ultimately hiring of minority candidates by at least 45% over the past 8 years enhancing internal relationships and tenure of employees.
Human Resource Management: I have been in the role primarily addressing employee relations, investigations into sexual harassment, substance abuse, performance reviews, compensation negotiation, and benefits. I have experience managing in union and non-union environment successfully negotiating with CPS union representatives automatic overtime policies and create new positions with favorable ratings from stakeholders.
Summary: I am prepared for a role where a company needs Diversity, Total Rewards and HR Operations addressed. I hope this letter along with my resume has presented a favorable picture and that a conversation can be the next step.
