Human Resources Manager

As a member of the management team, was challenged to develop, implement and manage best-practice Human Resources infrastructure for privately held unionized aerospace tooling manufacturer with up to 200 employees. Provided training and coaching to management team with focus on professional development and legal compliance. Managed all aspects of the human resources function including payroll, benefit administration, labor and employee relations, handbook revision and policy & procedure development, staffing, etc.

Served as an integral member of the union contract negotiation team responsible for negotiating new three year collective bargaining agreement. Successfully negotiated new contract with only 2.2% increase in costs over life of agreement.

Successfully negotiated 38% discount with Payroll/HRIS provider and managed implementation of system. Brought many outsourced HR services under one umbrella, cutting costs and increasing efficiency.

Researched Unemployment Insurance Agency tax issue, negotiated settlement saving the organization $50k in tax and interest costs.

Established and lead Joint Health & Safety Committee comprised of shop floor employees and members of management. Invited MIOSHA CET program in to facility to point out safety and compliance issues, corrected all issues and brought Company in to compliance.
