PORT OPERATION

In charge of the management of chartered vessel; coordinates all requirements and schedules to vessel’s owners including spot chartered vessels.

Ensure that the rates are always up to date and within the Company’s approved budget.

Review, negotiate, and prepare proposals and counter proposals of chartering agreements for both domestic and foreign vessel particularly the output per day, demurrage, dispatched rates, etc.

Handles port operational matters with port authorities, brokerage and stevedoring services pertaining to pre-arrival meetings, filing of claims for damage stocks, collections of claims, application of berthing permit, etc.

Supervise loading and unloading of bulk or bagged fertilizer, raw materials, machineries and equipments.

Prepares payment for port expenses, wharfage and other expenses for the unloading/ loading of cargoes.

Work hand and hand with brokerage companies for securing proper documentation for the release of imported shipments.

Prepare daily and monthly reports on the arrival of stocks, stock reconciliation against bill of lading and status of damage collection.

Review and update port operational manual to suit with the Company’s objective and to minimize possible pilferages.

Prepares vessels daily status report and line-up.

Work with surveying Company to ensure the accurate releases of cargoes and documentation particularly bulk cargoes.

INVENTORY CONTROL

Organized and managed six (6) large stock areas with a capacity of about 350,000 bags of various company’s’ product; maintained excellent accuracy ratings.

Initiated cycle counting greatly improving inventory integrity and frequently juggling with various tasks.

Worked with computer programmers to develop customized data base applications. Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Facilitated materials expediting involving status checking and progressing.

Conduct bidding and negotiates with supplier on rates, quotations, terms and conditions.

In-charge of the 3-man team who prepares yearly budget of the warehousing group.

Assist Sales Group on booking and marketing of fertilizer products with various distributors and dealers nationwide.

Handling Accounts particularly credit controls of orders against advance payments or approved credit limits particularly those that has prior arrangement under “Forward Stock Agreements”.

Gather information on competitor landings and prices as well as the current situation in the area which includes stock position, market analysis, current promotional activities and the like.

Organized farmers and schedule farmers meeting in various area of responsibility including assistance on the budget preparation for different marketing activities.

Provides daily, monthly and yearly sales reports and collection as guidance for the preparation of sales forecast.

Attend customer complains, queries and prepare reports for future action plans of the Sale Head.

Conduct meetings with customer, port contractors, truckers and handling contractors on the schedule arrival of shipments/ orders.
