Career Profile

Responsible for all production activities and quality assurance in the department. Total responsibility of running of 8 No’s of FDY(MY) machines and 4 POY/HOY machines.

Responsible for Production planning of products in coordination with marketing department.

Responsible for quality control of winding products (FDY/POY/MY).

Also responsible for new product development as per market requirement and ensuring & maintaining the quality of products, attending customer complaints for improvements.

Job Responsibility

i) Planning:

Preparing the production programme based upon the requirement from marketing department.

Planning the production programme by considering the carrying inventory in order to maintain minimum inventory i.e, WIP (Work in Process).

Strategic planning of profitable product mix as per customer requirements in order to meet the market demand.

Planning of machine and Manpower allocation to achieve production target as per the decided production programme.

Continuous monitoring of Production targets V/s actual achieved production by preparing of Variance report, so as to convey the same to marketing in time for any deviation.

Updating the production programme for any changes from the marketing department. Implementing the changes in the production schedule and reschedule the production targets.

Planning for procurement and maintaining minimum stocks of required raw materials such as paper-tubes, emulsion, oils and Dowtherm. Also ensuring the inventory of spinerettes and necessary accessories.

Planning to keep minimum substandard quality production by close monitoring & taking corrective actions to ensure that customer commitments are adhered to.

Planning preventive maintenance of machines in coordination with maintenance for updating the machine conditions so as to produce better quality.

ii) Continuous Improvement:

Developing new products as per market requirements.

Improving the quality of the product by taking continuous feedback from customers through marketing dept.

Close monitoring of Waste, Production losses and Substandard.

Identifying activities with the focus on reduction of cost of production & implementation.

Exploring the latest technologies available in the market and seeking for improving quality and increasing productivity in the existing plant.

Explore the possibilities of in-house modifications to enhance the increase in production and improving the quality of product.

iii) Market Focus:

Frequent interaction with customers and marketing team for clear understanding of customer requirements and thereby gearing up the existing system to fulfill it.
