Project : 42 “Crude Oil Pipeline project

Client : CPCL (Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited)

Achievements: Fabrication and installation of Structural weight 68,500 Tones, Piping 2,50,000 Inch Dia (Material- CS, LTCS, SS, Alloy steel)

Roles and responsibility:

Conducting welder qualification & PQR for welding process - SMAW, GTAW, FCAW

Performing Incoming material inspection fit-up & welds visual inspection for process piping and structural.

Implementation of weld sequence, distortion control, preheating, Buttering and fairing procedures.

Preparation and maintaining of each welder defect rate and project NDT status.

Selection of weld joint for NDT for structural and Process piping

Interpretation of Radiographic film for tanks and pipe line

Preparation of test pack and witness of hydro test.

Raise RFI to client to clear witness and hold point as per ITP.

Follow up for NCR and observations close out issued by client.

Co-ordinate with dimension controller, NDT and Third party inspection agencies.

Prepare punch list during mechanical walk through and follow up to close punches.

Prepare all necessary QA / QC documents and handed over to clients for review and approval.
