Plant inspection in RFCC area shutdown - Which includes the inspection of Columns, Vessels, Absorbers, Reactor, Regenerator, Boilers, Heaters, Heat Exchangers, Filters, Scrubber, Pipe circuits and Pipe line renewal.

Successfully handled various inspection activities according to the Orpic’s shutdown inspection plan and ensured the integrity of Equipments in the assigned area.

Shutdown inspection in Orpic includes repair inspection, fabrication inspection, painting inspection, cement lining inspection and other protective linings inspection.

Key Accountabilities:

Started the carrier as Inspection technician in Nov 1996 and came out as Inspection Engineer in Feb 2016 from Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited, Tuticorin, India

Worked as inspection in-charge for Ammonia, Urea, Water treatment plant, Sulphuric acid, Phosphoric acid, Phosphatic fertiliser plants, cross country lines, Ammonia & Phosphoric acid importation terminals at harbour.

Headed Inspection of Boiler’s Economiser & Super heater coils renewal and RLA study.

Headed the Execution and inspection of Titanium lining renewal in Urea reactor – which includes procedure preparation; planning; coordinating with contractor; qualification of welding procedure, welder & NDE procedure and execution of fabrication & inspection.

Conversion of Fixed roof tank to Internal Floating roof to handle Naphtha and erection of Naphtha importation facility.

Planned and executed the inspection and repair of various tanks ranging from fixed roof to Floating roof for various service ranges like Fuel oil, Naphtha, DM water, Polished water, Process condensate, Sulfuric acid, Phosphoric acid, Hydrochloric acid, Hydrofluoric Silicic acid.

Stage wise inspection of Centrifugal casted Reformer Tubes at M/s.Nitin castings, Mumbai. Inspection includes Destructive and non destructive examinations like ladle analysis, PME, Tensile, Aged tensile test, microscopic inspection, VT, PT, ET, Roughness test, UT, RT & LT.

AlF3 plant Augmentation equipment like Rotary Killen, Fans, Rotary drum type cooler, Conveyors, Rotary drums, Scrubbers, Furnace and other accessories inspection including performance check at M/s.Kilburn Engineering Ltd, Mumbai.

Pressure vessel / Heat exchanger manufacturing inspection at M/s.Larson & Tubro, Mumbai; M/s.ISGEC, Haryana & M/s.GMM Pfaudler, Gujarat.

Shutdown experience in India:

Through M/s SMO worked as Inspection Engineer for Reformer Inspection at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Panipat, Haryana during their turnaround in the year 2007.

Through M/s SMO worked as Inspection Engineer for Reformer & heater Inspection at Vickram Ispat, Maharashtra during their turnaround in the year 2008.

Through M/s SMO worked as Site-in-charge for Ammonia plant shutdown & Reformer inspection at Shriram Fertilizer, Rajasthan during their turnaround in the year 2009.
