Rommel was assigned by RCG Information Technology to Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) as AS/400 Programmer for Y2K Project under the Integrated Customer Management System (ICMS) PL3.0. And his Principal duties are Code checking to meet the Standard Code of the ICMS, Analyze, Modify and Test programs that are not yet Year 2000 compliant. And the role and responsibilities that he handled namely:
oInvolved in the ICMS PL3.0 as Analyst/Programmer. In this assignment, he is also responsible for the modification and debugging of streams of programs affected by the Millennium Bug, including the creation of programs that will convert database as Y2K compliant. In addition, He is also responsible in providing program documentation wherein the testing procedure and access paths are stated. Creation of programs is based on ICMS set standards and must meet the needs of the users.
oPerformed Analysis, Checking and Testing of Programs created by the programmers if really meet the standard code of the ICMS. Modify and Test programs that are not yet Year 2000 Compliant.
