Supported Department of Homeland Security (DHS) accounts which included three Sales Executives, five Program Managers and one Support Rep. Assisted in drafting Statements of Work, Federal and Subcontractor Work Orders, Federal and Subcontractor Microsoft Service Agreements, Budgetary Estimates, Nondisclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements. Briefed upper management during weekly forecast calls on the progress of potential deals. Prepared Public Sector Contracts Managers for intensive audits by conducting my own audit. Monitored the Backlog Report of existing projects for remaining funds and expiring contract dates. Completed contract closeouts by researching and verifying the period of performance, invoicing amounts, payments and remaining funds. Submitted DHS project assessments on government site CPARS.gov. Managed all CPARS assessments to ensure completion and proper online filing for future reference. Retained an ongoing list of acceptable FAR clauses and completed Microsoft Reps and Certs. Negotiated and administer five multi-million dollar Department of Defense contracts. Adhere to company policies, legal requirements and customers’ terms to secure acceptable contract acquisitions. Manage proposal submission to ensure deadlines are met. Conduct post-award debrief conference calls to solicit feedback and improvements. 2006 – 2011, Sales Accounting Manager, CA Technologies, Inc.
Managed and assisted Contract Analysts who support the DOD, Civilian and Education sales force. Oversaw the Federal Contracts team’s daily operation and contract booking cycle. Ensured accurate contract package reviews and SAP entry for correct revenue recognition, billing, financial reporting and commissioning. Reviewed FAR and DFAR clauses on delivery orders for acceptance. Approved and signed deals including IDIQ contracts up to 3 million dollars based on the understanding and interpretation of SOP 97-2 software Revenue Recognition, CA’s Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and company policies. Worked closely with internal departments such as Sales, Legal, Billing, Collections, Business Support Organization and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) manager.
