Qualifications
Jayco Corporation – Motorized Customer Service – July 2015 to Present
I handle phone calls and emails from owners and dealers concerning Class C & A gas motor homes, and explain how features operate in the motor home. I also help troubleshoot issues with the motor home. My position includes reviewing warranty authorization requests from dealers, which includes comparing authorizations to the flat rate manual to see if broken parts need to be returned. Also make notes of all the above in each coach file for future reference, review bill from owners and process them for reimbursement. I try to have all parties involved feel like they are being treated fairly.
Lexington Corporation – Director of Manufacturing – December 2012 to March 2015
I am responsible for all aspects of manufacturing from cutting, sewing, upholstery to shipping. This includes staffing the plant to make on-time deliveries, overseeing purchasing to coordinate materials for on-time delivery for manufacturing. Currently overseeing all MSDS and fork lift training, all employee reviews and plant hiring. I coordinate all building and equipment maintenance and schedule all production for on-time delivery. Currently have 300 employee’s to oversee with the help of 15 supervisors.

Falcon Enterprises/Sharpline Converting – Production Manager – June 2007 to June 2011
My responsibilities were overseeing all aspects of the Elkhart Manufacturing Plant and the employees. This included purchasing materials to keep production running smoothly. Was also responsible to staff the plant accordingly, to facilitate on-time delivery, keep costs down and put out a good quality product. Processed all orders received, ordered material accordingly, and scheduled the production of the orders. Also scheduled all shipping from our truck, UPS, and freight. Responsible for all safety training programs from MSDS and fork lift training. Oversaw weekly cycle counts and monthly raw inventory counts. Was responsible for all maintenance on equipment and the building. Set up maintenance check list for all equipment, building, and company vehicles. Did all employee reviews and plant hiring, interviews and dismissals. Communicated any material problems with vendors and worked with them to find a fix for a problem.
Midwest Lumber & Dimension – Production Manager – March 2006 to February 7, 2007
I direct, monitor and schedule all production activities and inventories. Requires developing effective teams that use and promote good problem-solving skills, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Have made implementation and results a priority and regularly update the team members. Ensure production meets or exceeds production goals. Also required to monitor, review and develop employee skills and performance, along with promoting and maintaining good maintenance, housekeeping, and organization throughout all facilities. Responsible for monitoring maintenance and establishing priorities for maintenance staff, and ensure quality expectations are met. Oversee shipping department and assist in scheduling product for delivery.
Godfrey Marine – Upholstery/Wood Shop Plant Manager – 1985 through March 2006
Was in charge of 120 direct labor employees and 30 indirect employees. Responsible for all hiring, interviews and dismissals. Put in systems to include purchasing and material flow to line workers. Responsible for all payroll for plant, making sure bonuses and weekly pay are correct. Work directly with group leaders to set goals and the most direct way to accomplish them. Responsible for all safety programs, R & D work and purchasing of production equipment. This includes all upholstered items plus all canvas products used. In January of 1993, also assumed the parts department. Responsibilities include supervision of 8 people as well as shipment of all parts by UPS, truck lines or our own transportation department. Proficient at Gerber Accumark, Gerber Digitizing, and Marker Making. Lead person on new product design and choosing new colors and materials.
Godfrey Marine – Assembly Line Foreman – 1982 to 1985
Developed standards and created Bill of Materials. Supervised 15 employees and monitored them on quality. Also monitored them on company rules. Have been involved in hiring and firing employees on performance and basic compliance to the company rules. Worked with standard vs. labor output to monitor employee performance.
Lemaster Steel – June 1979 to December 1981
Laborer – Started out setting steel and sheeting buildings. In the process, learned to read prints and lead a group of men to do the job at hand.
Foreman – Worked as foreman sheeting buildings. Read blueprints and taught others how to translate them. Became more efficient in determining goals. Also operated a 50 ton crane.
Champion Home Builders – July 1975 to May 1979
Parts Manager – This position consisted of taking parts orders and sending them out to the dealers.
Service Manager – This consisted of working with retail customers and dealers on complaints and warranty problems. Processed all warranty bills received and relayed all major problems to production for immediate corrective action. Worked directly with suppliers on their warranty to bill back to them.
Assistant Purchasing – Consisted of counting inventory on a daily basis. Reported this directly to the purchasing manager. Also helped track back orders and try to expedite the delivery. Was also in charge of the receivers and all material placement within the plant.
Purchasing Manager – This involved taking the inventory figures and buying what was needed for scheduled production. Set up lead times to have material arrive just when needed. Matched receivables with payables to verify correct cost and quantity. Kept on top of back orders and also tried to find back-up suppliers. Worked with vendors to get quantity breaks and the lowest price. Tried to find new and better material to make production easier and at lower cost. Worked with and trained assistant to do my job.
