Circle Oil Plc (AIM: COP), is an Irish Incorporated Middle East and Africa focused oil and gas exploration and production company with a portfolio of assets in Morocco, Tunisia, Oman and Egypt. my duties included, but were not limited to:

- Implementing the agreed action plan to the agreed standards and deadlines

- Ensuring the effective preparation and delivery of all project events and meetings and production of all necessary documentation

Maintain up to date register (hard & soft copy) of subcontractor shop drawings.

Maintain computer record and up to date files of incoming subcontractor correspondence and QA/QC documentation.

Assist with verification that all subcontractor QA/QC documentation is in order and in accordance with the various specifications and Inspection Test Plans.

Assist in completion of final packages of subcontractor QA/QC documentation in preparation for submission to Client.

2002 - 2005 Hochtief Ballast Needam Pan Asia JV Taichung, Taiwan

Employed as the Steel Structures QA/QC Document Control Engineer, responsible to the Department Manager on the construction of the Taiwan High Speed Rail Project my duties included, but were not limited to;

Maintain up to date register (hard & soft copy) of HBP JV Design and Released for Construction drawings.

Maintain up to date register (hard & soft copy) of subcontractor shop drawings.

Maintain computer record and up to date files of incoming subcontractor correspondence and QA/QC documentation.

Assist with verification that all subcontractor QA/QC documentation is in order and in accordance with the various specifications and Inspection Test Plans.

Assist in completion of final packages of subcontractor QA/QC documentation in preparation for submission to Client.

Lease with various departments and subcontractors as required to ensure all QA/QC documents are complete and submitted.

Carrying out various other duties as instructed by Steel Structures Department Manager.

2001 - 2002 Orascom Contrack Fayed, Egypt

Employed as the Project Document Control Engineer, responsible to the Project Manager on the construction of a Military Airbase my duties include, but are not limited to;

Ensure that all project documents, including all sub-contractor submittals, are in accordance with the Resident Management Systems – American Standards.

Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure that all supplied products and workmanship conform to the relevant International or American Standard.

Correlate and submit all documents to the Office of the Engineer in Charge for approval (Corps of Engineering – United States Military). Submittals include schedules/programmer, QA/QC Procedures, proposed materials & suppliers, labour and equipment resource requirements, etc., etc. Submittals are made both in Egypt and USA.

Preparation & maintenance of computerized and hard copy submittals and document register to ensure that all documentation and status is recorded and readily available.

Assist Administration and Purchasing departments.

1998 - 2001 Krupp Orascom Besix JV Ismailia, Egypt

Employed in the QA/QC Department by Krupp/Orascom (JV leaders), responsible to the QA/QC Manager on the construction of the 10,500 tone El-Ferdan Railway Bridge Project (the worlds longest swing bridge) my duties included, but were not limited to;

Producing QC documents and maintaining easily accessible and manageable filing system for examination & audit by Clients Representatives.

Ensuring ITP’s, Method Statements and Procedures were acceptable and issued to all concerned.

Compiling “Final Release Packages” for submission to Clients representative for acceptance of work and approval for payment.

Liaison with all departments and sub-contractors to ensure documentation (Calibration Certificates, NDT & Dimensional Reports, Mill Certificates, WPS’s, NCR’s, etc., etc.) were submitted and approved prior to compilation of the above.

Advising sub-contractors of QA/QC document requirements to fulfill contractual obligations.

Liaison with Client and sub-contractors to resolve any problems associated with QA/QC matters.

On site attendance before, during and after Client inspection.

Follow-up of NCR’s to ensure satisfactory close out.
