Academic Projects:
A query generation system for any closed domain question answering system that uses unstructured text as corpora
(Nov’15)
Given a corpus related to the chosen domain of interest and an unrelated corpus, an input question is passed through a pipeline to generate a list of words pertaining to the domain. These words can then be used by a question answering system to rank passages and find answers. Currently, the system works with an accuracy of 88%. [Implemented using Python]
Intelligent Tutoring System for C language with Question Answering facility (April’14) An adaptable system that progressively teaches C by assessing performance based on answers to multiple choice questions and code submitted towards programming assignments, which are achieved using Baye’s Nets and Markov Model respectively. The system emulates one to one tutoring by providing answers to any C related questions with an accuracy of 70%. [Implemented using Python]
Other Projects:
Developed a limited version of SQL, capable of execution of queries like SELECT * FROM WHERE queries (supporting =,
< and > and created using indexes and garnering data from binary files),DROP TABLE, SHOW SCHEMAS, SHOW TABLES, CREATE TABLE,CREATE SCHEMA, USE SCHEMA, and INSERT INTO. The implementation was done in Java using Random Access Files. [Implemented using Java] (April’ 16)
Built the projects including Handwritten digit recogniser, Facial key point detection using Principal Component Analysis, Anomaly detection and Recommender system, Image compression using K-means clustering, Spam filter using Support Vector Machine under Machine Learning MOOC. [Implemented using Octave] (Jul’ 13)
Performed Sentiment Analysis of live Twitter stream under the MOOC titled Inroduction to Data Science (Jun’13)
[Implemented using Python]
Built 3 Interpreters for 3 made-up programming languages using Standard ML, Ruby and Racket for each interpreter under Programming Languages MOOC (Dec’13)
Developed the following games: Rice Rocks (A modern version of the arcade game ‘asteroids’), Black Jack and Pong under the MOOC Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (Dec’12) Awards:
