I have more than ** years of construction experience on Caltrans highway projects with extensive experience in highway, and bridge construction, experience on technical in all phases of construction management from preparation of contract documents to actual construction and its eventual completion. Working on large diameter of reinforced concrete pipe for storm drainage and waste water systems. I am thoroughly familiar with different joint systems including ‘O’ rings, grouts and mastics with the testing methods for each. I am also involved with PVC linings and heat-sealed joint strips.
My project management experience includes supervising contractors at various phases from preliminary survey up to finish grade elevations, foundation operations, pile driving, falsework, checking rebars, pre-stressing operations, earthmoving, concrete and asphalt placing, drainage systems, underground utilities, mechanical and electrical, signage, storm water pollution prevention, landscaping, painting, plumbing and other furnishings.
My contract administration experience includes cost estimating, change order negotiations, coordination and resolution of field problems. Review design and constructability of projects, including preparation of invoicing, scheduling, construction documents, change order review, daily project administration throughout completion, startup. punch lists and the eventual turnover of the project to the owner in compliance with special provisions, plans and standard specifications.
PROJECT EXPERIENCES
Bradshaw Interceptor Section 6B and Roadway Improvement Project Construction Inspection, Sacramento County Regional Sanitation District, Sacramento, California: Construction Inspector for 2.3 miles of Concrete Gravity Pipe T Lock, tunnels and reinforced concrete structures. Inspected SWPPP compliance, trench excavations, pipe placements, slide shore system placement, backfill, steel reinforcement, welding of joints and traffic control delineation. Project conformed to all CalOSHA confined space requirements. Responsible for tracking bid term quantities and listing them in the daily record book.
Caltrans - I-238 Widening Rehabilitation Project: Inspection of the roadway grading and paving operation, checked grades and construction staking notes, inspected drainage installations, embankment and retaining wall construction. Handled stage construction traffic operations and adopt safety standards procedures.

San Jose International Airport, San Jose, CA: Senior Construction Inspector: Performed construction inspection for the airport including a $2 million sanitary sewer project with PVC-lined RCP pipe to 36-inch diameter, and a $38 million American Airline arrival and departure building. Duties includes project documentation, inspection reports, daily diaries preparation, and review monthly pay estimates for the contractors. All construction was performed to City of San Jose, San Jose International Airport and Caltrans Standards.
Elevated Roadways and Freeway Connectors, San Francisco International Airport, SFIA/Caltrans District 4 Project: Construction Inspector for the grading, AC paving, earthwork, signage, traffic management, electrical, landscaping, storm water pollution prevention, and structures for the expansion of San Francisco International Airport. The underground piping components includes RCP pipe in between 18 and 36 inch diameter with “O” ring joint seals. The project was completed in accordance with Caltrans, and San Francisco International Aiport Standards.
East of 101 Sewer Improvements at East Grand, Allerton, Forbes, DNA Way, and Linderville Storm Drainage Construction Improvement,City of South San Francisco: Supervise the pipe burst of existing sanitary sewer, lateral reconnections, installation of new sanitary sewer manholes, different sizes of storm drain manholes, storm drain laterals, storm drains, and shoring, sheeting, and traffic control. Prepares diaries on the contractor’s daily accomplisments ready for monthly pay estimates.
Construction of Highway 1/17 Merge Lanes in Santa Cruz County and Near Santa Cruz, California, Caltrans, Santa Cruz, California: Construction Inspector of the retaining & sound walls, concrete barrier walls, soil nails, sign structures, bridge demolition, earthwork, AC paving, and metal beam guard rail installations. Also inspected reinforcing steel placement, clearances, dimensions on structures, and concrete mix design implementation. Prepared concrete samples and coordinated shipment to Translab in Sacramento for laboratory testing. Prepared daily diaries, inspection reports, monthly pay estimates, and also issuing mini memos to contractors when needed. Conducted safety meeting per Caltrans Resident Engineer schedule. .
State Route 85/87 Interchange, Caltrans District 4: Assistant Resident Engineer for Caltrans construction of State Route 85/87 interchange, involving daily construction oversight of all aspects of highway/structure construction: grading, storm drainage culverts (RCP, up to 96-inch diameter), deep excavation, retaining and sound walls, paving operations, curb and gutter construction, signage, striping, irrigation and landscaping.

He was responsible for oversight of traffic control and construction staging to maximize safety and
traffic flow during construction. Duties included project documentation, inspection reports, monthly pay estimates, change order documentation, punch lists, and project correspondence. He conducted safety orientations. All construction and CM activities were performed to Caltrans Standards.
Construction Inspection for Seismic Retrofit Projects, Caltrans Districts 5 & 6: Performed highway inspection for Caltrans seismic retrofit projects, primarily inspecting highway reconstruction, paving overlays, MBGR installation, striping, signage, and traffic control operations for bridge retrofit projects in
central and coastal California. Checked reinforcing steel, concrete mix design; collected samples during concrete pours for laboratory testing. Prepared daily construction inspection reports, pay estimates and worked with Caltrans' Resident Engineer to coordinate, plan and oversee construction operation.
State Route 101 Widening, Caltrans District 4: Assistant Resident Engineer for Caltrans projects including state route widening in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities includes inspection of grading, drainage facilities, retaining sound walls, structural sections, curb and gutters, sidewalks, irrigation systems and landscaping. Provided oversight of traffic control and staging construction to ensure safe operations and maximize traffic flow during construction. Assisted the Office Engineer in preparing daily inspection documentation, monthly progress pay estimates, adjustment of contract item prices for over/under runs, processing related paperwork for the project.
Asphalt Concrete Overlay, Marin County, California: Senior Construction Inspector. Supervised asphalt concrete overlay projects in Marin County near Tomales, Point Reyes Station from 3.5 km north of Point Reyes to 0.9 km north of Tomales-Petaluma Road-Highway 1. Quantity of asphalt concrete material involved is more than 30,000 tons, conforming to the Special Provisions “Quality Control/Quality Assurance” and “Asphalt Concrete” of the Standard Specifications. The project includes shoulder backing, AC dikes, metal beam guard railing, striping, and traffic control. Prepared daily reports and estimates on different items accomplished by the contractor for payment purposes. Reviewed plans before project start-ups and worked on various Park and Ride projects. Responsible for resolving conflicts between plans and specifications and actual site conditions and recommending engineering changes in the plans and specifications which were then referred to the Professional Engineer for approval.
