ACADEMIC PROJECTS
1.Analysis for Stock Exchange Data Feb 2016
Purpose of this project is to calculate number of shares sold for different companies between year of 2000 to 2001. It is done by using Hadoop and MapReduce algorithm.
Activities involved: Setting up Hadoop from scratch on Ubuntu server as a Virtual Machine on top of Oracle Virtual Box. This involves setting up Hadoop in pseudo-cluster node modes. Development and execution of MapReduce JAVA program (in Eclipse) to calculate the numbers of transactions of all stocks of NYSE for given data of 1TB in. tsv format.
2.Performance Comparison of K-means on Hadoop and Weka August 2015
Implemented K-means clustering Algorithm for MapReduce job of US census dataset on Hadoop (16 nodes) and WEKA. Then, analyzed the performance of both. As a resultant in performance, WEKA performed for small datasets (<150MB), whereas Hadoop performed for large datasets, which was significantly better implementation compared to WEKA which proves Hadoop is easily scalable without much performance loss.
3.Installation of OpenStack as IAAS March 2016
Created a Dashboard for the Cloud Architecture using Oracle Virtual Box using Ubuntu as a Virtual Machine. Made three VMs, Controller, Compute and Networking. Then, configured Keystone (Identity Service on Controller Node), Glance (Image Service), Nova (on Compute Node), Neutron (on Network Node). After these, Swift, Cinder, Ceilometer has configured.
4.OnLine Tutorial June 2016
This is a online library for Computer Science subjects. User can choose a particular topic from the list and, it will retrieve the relevant file form the server and displays on the user’s screen.
There are two types of users in this project, one is user, who use this online application to read about any subject and its related contents. And, other is admin, who can do all CRUD operation for the subjects.
It is developed using spring framework, using JSP, Servlet, HTML, CSS, Hibernate, JavaScript. And used MySQL in the backend for all database CRUD functionalities.
RESEARCH PAPER
1.Data Security in Cloud Computing November 2014
Analysis on data security and privacy protection issues associated with cloud computing across all stages of data life cycle. This research has discussed some current solutions like Cloud Platform Lock-in, Multi-Tenancy, Service Level Agreement (SLA), Distributed Access Management, etc. Finally, this paper has described future research work about data security and privacy protection issues in cloud like Homomorphic, Cryptdb, Boxcryptor, Cypher X, SOC3, SysTrust SAS 70.
SELF PROJECTS
1.Apartment Management Website Going On
Objective of this website is to provide full automation for apartment leasing office to manage the database of the apartment. Website is targeted for both administrator and tenant user. Leasing manager as administrator can perform CRUD operations for tenant’s, super admin can perform same tasks for tenant and for admin too. Tenant user can update their information except admin’s tasks (like updating apartment number, deleting tenant’s data, etc.). Project is developed using JAVA technologies including JSP, HTML, JavaScript, Servlet, using Spring MVC Framework, and MySQL in backend. Implemented Google Map using Google API.
2.Blood Bank July, 2014
Designed & developed an online web-portal where blood banks and hospitals could look for donors in their nearby area who will be available in quick time. The donors’ health was recorded and reported to evaluate quickly. It Ensured user friendliness and effectiveness in providing online medical services to everyone at their doorstep.
