To work for a great electronic firm that is involved with new technologies and where the opportunities for both the company and myself are great. I have strong interpersonal skills, mature, ethical and a self-starter with high integrity. Driven to make a difference by using my experience in various industries and electrical/pilot/aeronautical/aerospace study and accomplishments. As shown below, I have had many short term positions. This was done on purpose by me to get experience in many industries holding various job titles. I am currently seeking a place to call home and for a long time.
Related Work Experience:
Electrical Engineer Roman Engineering (Direct Hire) Jan 2013 to Present
• Lead engineer responsible for the design, BOM creation and order, electrical drawings and the PLC programming for various manufacturing machines.
• Direct a team of three to get machines built by following my drawings which were created using Autocad electrical 2015.
• Creation of binders for each machine with troubleshooting, controls, BOM, drawings, and documentation. This serves two main things: operator may be able to fix an error on the floor, and organization/documentation.
Lead Electrical Engineer, Pacific Rim International. (Project) Oct 2013 to Dec 2013
• Infotainment and GPS engineer for 2015 model vehicles. 16 different systems in all and I was to test and verify them from a user prospective. Held weekly phone conferences and meetings with all parties involved.
System Engineer, V I Engineering (Contract) Oct 2012 to Oct 2013
• Completion of multiple projects including fully functioning automated test station with LabView/Test-stand as software backbone. Also verified test stations using Matlab and Simulink.
• Complying by test standards and requirements for verification of each component for systems in automotive, medical devices, military, and other precision type products.
• Responsible for many test case creation documents and specification documents.
• Every test station I wrote software for (and many I did not), I was responsible for integration, of hardware and VERIFICATION of complete system functionality and all associated documents.
Electrical CAD Designer, Automated Systems Inc. (Project) Sep 2012 to Oct 2012
• Major role includes designing and updating CAD drawings for large conveyor systems, ensuring correct amount of motors, meters, RFID’s, and more are ordered and in BOM.
• Route the communication and electrical in the most efficient way as well as the pneumatics.
• Used Dspace Hil integration when programming and integrating hardware in the conveyor line.
Electrical Engineer, Gibbs Technologies Inc. (Contract) July 2012 to Aug 2012
• Lead electrical engineer and designed the electrical architecture for an amphibious vehicle which required definition for every component, the function, and then the inputs and outputs of the function.
• Factors that had to be taken into account were which functions would be analogue, digital, or both and try to maximize the efficiency of vehicle to successfully create the overall architecture with the correct amount of modules and make the phibian autonomous.
• Incorporated CAN throughout vehicle and use various tools when calibrating/communicating with modules.
• The autonomous part of vehicle was when wheels fold up and vehicle becomes a large boat. Specification documents, simulation and testing were done using break out boxes for certain systems and Matlab for others.
Systems Engineer, IEE Sensing Inc. (Contract) Nov 2011 to May 2012
• Successful lifecycle of design to production understanding our customer requirements for each product/project, and being able to deliver with our capabilities.
• Design, ensure all testing and documents are complete before moving to next phase of project. I was in charge of more than 6 programs at a time and worked with customers and suppliers (Chrysler, Lear, Ford, JCI, and GM) on daily basis.
• This design work was of the analogue variety since most of the sensors I designed were resistive. However verification using HiL tools, and simulation software was needed majority of time.
• Ran daily meetings and worked together with the quality department to enable full understanding of the process from design to final mass production. If problems occur with my products after vehicles are released to public I am also working very closely with quality to troubleshoot.
Electrical Engineer, ESG at Roush Technologies (Contract) July 2011 to Oct 2011
• Successful project completion of complete reworks on vehicles which include: headlights, outside air temp, active grill shutter, power mirrors, seats, doors, tail lights, and overhead harness with microphone.
• Once the reworks for a specific vehicle are complete, verify through CAN that all modules are talking and have latest software, and complete a thorough Diagnostic Verification Test for production.
• Complete extensive DV/PV and DVT on the floor.
• Troubleshoot circuits such as analogue which mainly consisted of the video and audio, Coils helped to suppress the AC. On the other hand many transistors acted as fast switches controlling certain circuits and their functions.
Electrical Engineer, DGE Inc. (Project) Feb 2011 to May 2011
• Worked on project for GM and Ford hybrid electric vehicles. Used HiL tools for verification of hybrid systems in vehicle.
• Made test stations for the dyno’s.
• Troubleshot and verified circuit boards using Matlab, simulink, and environmental chambers.
• Wrote Worst Case Circuit Analysis files for entire BOM/Schematic.
• Wrote testing procedures documents and simulated using LabView.
Electrical Engineer for A123 Systems (Part Time) July 2010 to Dec 2010
• Environmental Testing on battery cell modules.
• Wrote Matlab and LabView code to support testing and the production line.
• After I deployed my LV project on the line they could see if there were any problems with battery modules before connecting to make the pack.
Saturn Electronics and Engineering Nov. 2009 to May 2010
• Built BMU (Battery Management System) and LMU (Lithium Ion Unit) enclosures for electric car. These were highly compact and complicated test stands.
• Purpose was to thoroughly test PCBs and other hardware under normal operation and conduct environmental testing.
• Made all interconnecting harnesses and external to begin and analyze the results via CAN communication and LabView.
• Used in-depth LabView code and VI’s to accomplish the rigorous testing for each phase. Assisted with changes in the schematics using PSpice and Visio and completed troubleshooting.
