Academic Project:

Design & Structural analysis of helical spring in a Two wheeler shock absorber.

Description:

The basic aim of the project is to find best suited material for the helical spring .For this the helical spring design is made by using Catia V5 technical software in order to the specifications taken from literature surveyed of the two wheeler suspension system .The designed model is imported to the Ansys software for structural analysis .In analysis three materials such as Aramid fiber reinforced polymer (AFRP), Titanium, Beryllium copper in addition to the present existing material spring steel .By considering the material properties of the materials, deformation and strain results are plotted for different

Loads with different materials. In our preliminary approach by comparing the results generated, AFRP is better for helical spring material than spring steel.
