Examine drums, tanks and pipelines using non-destructive testing techniques

Make radiographic images to detect flaws in objects while leaving objects intact

Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as acoustic emission, electromagnetic, leak, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, neutron radiographic, radiographic, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and visual testing

NDT Level II (11/2009 – 03/2010)

Inspected Ultrasonic thickness testing on numerous tanks, pipes vessels, plates, boilers, to make one vessel inspection at Giant oil Refinery a top priority because the thickness reading was extremely low

Conducted penetrant inspection on welds, roots, and bevel preps areas, at oil refineries, paper mills, and shipyards

Completed brinell tests pipes, tanks, vessels, exchangers, to make sure the hardness in the metal was within codes

Completed magnetic particle inspection on turbine blades, generators at TVA Bull Run Fossil Plant

Non-Destructive Inspector (05/2007 – 08/2007)

Inspected Ultrasonic thickness testing on numerous tanks, pipes vessels, plates, boilers, etc. where I was able to make one vessel inspection at Giant oil Refinery a top priority because the thickness reading was extremely low

Conducted penetrant inspection on many types of welds, roots, and bevel preps areas for different oil refineries, paper mills, and shipyards

Completed brinell tests on several pipes, tanks, vessels, exchangers, to make sure the hardness in the metal

Completed magnetic particle inspection on turbine blades, generators at TVA Bull Run Fossil Plant

Steel Fab Inc. (09/2012 – 11/2012)

Nondestructive Testing inspector

Visually inspected different welds on the steel structure to make sure they didn’t have any cracks or relevant indication and to make sure there was no porosity, lack of fusion, under cut, lack of penetration pinholes, and to make sure there was enough weld in the steel structure that was being welded

Magnetic particle inspection on the welds and the prep areas to make sure they didn’t have any cracks or relevant indication

Shear wave the welds beams to make sure they wasn’t any cracks porosity or irrelevant indication in the weld

Level 3 Associates (03/2010 – 08/2012)

Nondestructive Testing inspector

Completed several major patches of Porosity to indicate and detected the composites of the Lear jet 85 using the UT phase array Omni scan method while for working Bombardier

Identified critical cracks and indication within the turbine blades structure at General Electric by utilizing Eddy current skills

Detected any indication of leads to cracks in the blades, and buff extra turbine blades

Assisted co-workers with use of NDT methods like MT, PT, and UT thickness testing

Worked on numerous turbine blades and generator for companies like General Electric

Conducted PMI test on different welds, tubes, and piping to test metal density and type

NDI Inspection for cracks and flaws on the F-15 Aircraft and their components, aerospace ground equipment, and safety equipment; using a variety of methods like magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, eddy current, radiography, optical and ultrasonic inspection.

Ivey Cooper Services (03/2009 – 11/2009)

NDT Level II

Utilized NDT to read pie-tape reading to find the measurement in the pipes and tank width, brinells, copper sulfate test, shear wave, visual inspection, ferrite to see how strong the metal an density of the pipes or tanks

Used the FME camera to find foreign objects like bolts and trash in the generators valley authority fossil plant sites

Conducted magnetic particle inspection on turbine blades, generators at TVA Bull Run Fossil Plant

Acuren Inspection (08/2007 – 09/2009)

Non Destructive Inspector

Used eddy current at Chevron and General Electric on the tubes in the exchangers and blades that were used to power generators in nuclear and fossil plants

Located cracks on 9 dollar plates in the reactor at Giant Oil Refinery that was up to 14 cracks around the plates structure

Spotted any undetected or inspected if could have possibly shut the unit down

Team Industrial Services (09/2006 – 03/2007)

NDT Level II

At Signal International Shipyard, identified very severe cracks in the infrastructure of the ship that would have been catastrophic if not detected

Completed random inspections, and detected cracks on 9 dollar plates in the reactor at Giant Oil Refinery that was up to 14cracks around the plates structure

Applied Technical Service (02/2006 - 07/2006)

NDT Level II

Ultrasonic thickness testing on numerous tanks, pipes vessels, plates, boilers, etc. where I was able to make one vessel inspection at Giant oil Refinery a top priority because the thickness reading was extremely low

Penetrant inspection on many types of welds, roots, and bevel preps areas, at several different oil refineries, paper mills, and shipyards

Brinell test several different pipes, tanks, vessels, exchangers, etc. to make sure the hardness in the metal was within codes

Doing magnetic particle inspection on turbine blades, generators etc. at TVA Bull Run Fossil Plant

While doing magnetic particle inspection inside a tank at Fernandina Beach, Florida paper mill I was able to locate over 50 cracks inside the tank that was at least long and wide

Which they were able to patch up on the tank inner structure which extended the life of the tank

While working at the paper mill in Fernandina Beach, FL we has the job of finding selected pipelines in the furnace to visually inspect for cracks before we did our penetrant inspection on the pipes

We were able to located several hair line cracks within the pipes structure by visually inspecting the pipes
