Re: Marketing and Communications Representative on Talentdesk.com
I am a resourceful, organized, client-focused person with a knack for inter-personal relations, writing and problem solving. I am also a very hard-working and talented communicator able to work as part of a team or independently as required.
I have direct experience with:
Working with diverse cultures from around the world and people from all walks of life, including those with disabilities (deaf, mentally/physically challenged, etc.)
Writing for the web, social media, research projects and media relations with the Microsoft Office Suite as part of my university studies and as an intern for instaMek.com
Developing marketing materials and internal/external communications pieces (brochures, newsletters, presentations, etc.)
Professional Experience:
Your organization is looking for a communications and marketing representative and I have experience working as an unpaid intern (blogger) for instaMek, an auto-mechanic-at-home repair business, for four months over the summer of 2015. I also have four years of direct customer service experience selling jewellery at craft shows in Edmonton and Toronto, Ontario.
As an intern within MacEwan University’s Career Services department I used my graphic design, research and editing skills to design a booklet for future student interns. I also suggested that a complimenting online web-presentation module would be a vital addition to the project. The finished product was a guidebook and a Prezi page (web presentation) for students who would be required to do a Work-Integrated Learning field placement (internship) as a part of their own program of study.
To learn more about me please read my enclosed résumé. You may contact me by email at *****.**@*****.*** or phone 780-***-****.
Sincerely,
Heather Levie, B.CS.

Specializations
Inter-cultural Communications
In my last semester I took an inter-cultural communications course. It was through this course that I discovered that I have a knack for inter-personal relations in general. This course piqued in me an interest in doing cross-cultural communication work. I would like to explore this type of communication to further my growth as a communications professional.
Corporate Communications, external and internal.
My coursework consisted of acquiring skills in public relations, corporate narrative, advertising, brand development and project management.
By working with external clients in a team-based environment I was challenged with having to create solutions for my clients by using high level critical and logical thinking in order to effectively complete their project on time in a professional manner. In order to meet these goals I had to quickly ascertain then understand principles and facts directly related to my client’s business model and needs.
By using PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Photoshop I was able to create marketing materials, communication plans and branding documents for many projects.
