Saikat also worked on sales order management and shipping-logistics. Saikat has successfully designed the supply network planning and demand planning process flow including setting up core interfaces (CIF), building transport load build and transportation lane. He successfully completed the integration build for other non- SAP systems to bring the inventory extract, process order, purchase order, sales order, and transfer order, advanced shipping notification extract to SAP SNP system. In addition he has extensively worked on SAP BW to process Sales Order history, one time forecast and Customer Order as part of implementation. The Back to Basic – Planning Optimization (APO) program is implementation of J&J global solution for Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP) across different J&J franchises. It is a multi-year phased rolled out of the solution.
Data conversion is a critical factor in ensuring data integrity and supporting a successful Btb-APO implementation. If the required data is not complete and converted correctly, the system will not function as intended, and will not enable the stakeholders to perform business activities. Presently working in Data Conversion area.
Primarily, responsible for developing the data conversion strategy involving the data owner of respective franchises. Additional responsibility in terms of using winshuttle tool for mass data maintenance and conversion from legacy system.
Doing the conversion of master data (material master, customer master, cross reference) and transactional data (sales order, customer order, inventory, production order, purchase order, ASN). Have also laid down the data verification and reconciliation strategy.

BW Functional Consultant SAP R/3 ECC6.0, SAP NetWeaver 7.3, - (Back to Basics Advanced Planning Optimization Project)
As a SAP business warehouse functional consultant to develop the design and architecture of the overall system landscape and data flow management. BW is being used in this project as a data warehouse in terms of communication with SAP ECC, SAP SNP and SAP DP. Interfaces and conversion objects are built for the data flow from Master Data Management (Siperion) and also to data extract from different legacy system.
In addition to above have developed numerous reports in BW as a part of post conversion verification tool. These reports will be used in terms of reconciliation among all the systems.

In September 2006, the Medical Devices & Diagnostics (MD&D) sector made the strategic decision to move to a shared manufacturing system on a single instance of SAP. This shared platform supports MD&D’s Operations strategy as well as J&J’s enterprise IT strategy. It will enable greater leverage of people, processes and systems throughout MD&D.
The goal of the Crossroads Program is to create the most effective combination of business processes, technology, data and people to enable efficient global production and inventory management within the MD&D sector. Beginning with OCD and DePuy, Crossroads team is working to harmonize production, inventory management, quality and costing business processes and data for MD&D across seven franchises on a worldwide basis. Presently, Ortho clinical diagnostics, Depuy Mitek, Depuy Codman and Depuy Ortho went live on Crossroads system.
Being an IM/WM consultant have been assigned in this project as Team Lead, Cutover Lead and Business Analyst in onsite team to take care of Techno-functional activity in US region order to cash integration project.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Senior Configurator - Worked as a senior configurator responsible for 90% of SAP configuration in master data, purchasing, sales order management, inventory management, warehouse management and logistics execution area. He was also developed critical interface between Crossroads, USROTC system and between USROTC and MARC warehouse management system. Worked extensively in complete design and development of consignment business, subcontracting, third party sales, intra/ inter company stock transport order, purchase order release procedure and on pricing.
Developed many custom reports and deliver after detail functional testing.
Business Analyst- Being a landed resource and subject matter expert, executed client facing role which includes attending meetings with process owner, understanding the business requirement and providing the solution after analyzing the fit-gap. Involved in all design change discussion with business owners. Involved from the day-1 of Crossroads in discussion of design finalization. During Crossroads implementation Saikat worked in manufacturing side of it involving material requirement planning, implementing active ingredient management, batch master functionality, enhancing RF functionality, determining put away strategy and enhancing good receipt slip print out. With Crossroad go-live consignment business of Depuy Codman franchise went live in US region order to cash platform. Therefore, inventory conversion is one of the major activities as part of the consignment business transition.
Responsible for conversion of all the master data which includes both material master and batch master.
Techno Functional Consultant- As a techno functional consultant responsible for configuration of new objects in Master Data, Purchasing, Sales Order Management, Logistics Execution and Warehouse Management area. He is also responsible for development of new objects which require enhancement and custom development.
Involved in technical development including programming in ABAP, debugging for root cause analysis. The US Region Order to Cash (OTC) program within Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices and Diagnostics division (MD&D) is a program aimed at developing a regional Order-to-Cash solution within the US Region in support of multiple franchise operating companies within MD&D. Today, MD&D maintains discrete OTC systems that are aging and having lack of required functionality to sustain business growth. He did the entire supply chain roll out for plant maintenance, materials management, manufacturing, procurement, sales and inventory management. He did implement the entire country India version for Haldia Petrochemicals for excise duty and tax benefit. He did also implement the import and export functionality in SAP.
He did the entire solution architecture diagram and designed the process flow diagram. He did design the entire bill of materials of functional location, equipment and material.
