Research Assistant, North Carolina State University (January – May 2015)
Modelling a table top water tunnel to simulate and study Vortex Induced Vibrations of slender flexible cylindrical structures in SOLIDWORKS.
Studied meshing techniques to simulate Vortex Induced Vibrations for the specific application in the Ocean Compressed Air Energy Storage (OCAES) project and simulated a 2-D model of the fluid structure interaction of the system by coupling ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Structural. Implemented various Inverse Force Estimation Techniques like Sum of Weighted Average Technique (SWAT), Kalman Filter in MATLAB and experimentally validated the same.

Design of automated UAV flight (Ongoing)
Co-Lead a team of engineers in modelling and prototyping a UAV system that can automatically change payload and stay in flight without human interaction across the state of North Carolina with the aid of SOLIDWORKS for 3D modelling and Engineering drawings.
Access Ladder Re-Design for Land-Movers (2015)
Worked in a team to develop a conceptual design with fabrication advantages to replace the existing access ladder design in a commercial land mover. Carried out prototyping and design validation in SOLIDWORKS. Aircraft Wing Analysis (2015)
Developed MATLAB codes to analyse Elliptical and Rectangular wing geometries under the effect of twist, sweep, taper and dihedral using Lifting line and Vortex lattice methods. General Aviation (GA) Aerofoil Design (2015)
