SUMMARY
I am looking for a rewarding career in a company where I can use my expertise and work experience’s to the fullest. I have been a COO, Controller & CFO of several oil and gas companies. I have 20 plus years of experience in oil and gas, management, field operations and exploration & production accounting. I have worked directly with, executive management, bankers, partners, vice-presidents, superintendents, directors, managers, field engineers, production engineers, drilling engineers, completion engineer’s pumpers and lawyers. I have recently been working with private equity firms, corporate finance, financial reporting, collateral reporting and banking. I have built and implemented many integrated accounting systems and ERP’s, for the modules of application for expenditures, finance, cash management, tax planning, division orders, land, production accounting, revenue, severance tax, joint interest billing, human resources and payroll, and information technology. In the last year I have overseen twenty five different companies; with three hundred (plus) different partners, and all aspects of five private equity funds with a conservative estimate of several hundred million dollars.
History
While I was in college I started working as a student accountant; moved up to accountant, then became the interim comptroller of the university. As I transitioned into corporate settings, I gained knowledge experience and expertise in the industry for finding and settling multi-million dollar deals. In solving the issues with oil and gas deals I began writing and implementing accounting systems and packages for top 10 oil and gas companies. I honed my teamwork skills while working on projects that included implementing entire E&P accounting software’s in multiple states and internationally for fortune 500 companies of over tens of thousands of wells. I began consulting with multiple different entrepreneurs to help them manage their businesses more effectively and efficiently through implementation of new software, organizational training, strategies, and learning how to manage and value the right people. I have worked hand in hand with numerous different types of engineers for my entire career which positioned me for more opportunities to put these life skills and practices into place; by running an oil company for a short amount of time and doubling its total production and value. I have been blessed with opportunity to have the practical life experiences along with the intellectualization part of succeeding and achieving great things for the companies I have had the pleasure to be involved with.

EXPERIENCE

Assistant Controller of 9 Minerals Companies (Corp. Finance) 10/2015 to present
Worked with an old established company McB (McCaslin, Borrow & Shaver) that funded multiple minerals deals and multiple no-operated positions in the oil and gas industry. I reported on multiple companies with many different funds and feeder funds and took care of most of the corporate banking and financial reporting. We grew and restructured many companies to accommodate the three tiered approach of feeder funds main investment firm while completing good audits with Whitley Penn and Deloitte & Touche’s field work. We also prepared most all of the funds tax reporting for several hundred partners and investors and created monthly financial statements for eight plus companies and year end closing entries. Managed and mastered hundreds of excel spreadsheets, and quarterly reporting functions. We created and distributed many different private equity reports and full quarterly reports in a timely fashion.
Putnam Oil & Gas Chief Operations Officer 07/2015 to 10/2015
Took successful control of an oil and gas operations company; (the owner had passed away), I had to remove the operator in default and repossess all of the leases and wells. I analyzed the different formations, zones, faults and closures related to the water flood and implemented a plan that successfully double production. I fixed wells, down hole pumps, pumping units, electrical systems, and saltwater disposal systems, to stabilize production of the water flood and bring the leases up to industry standards.
Culbreath Oil & Gas, & Subsidiaries (Deal Structure Co.) 2/2014 to 07/2015
Controller and Acting Chief Financial Officer
I excelled as the Controller & acting Chief Financial Officer of a mid-sized oil & gas company with more than fourteen subsidiary companies. I have overseen in excess of eighty five million dollars in private equities monies and worked on the team that negotiated the deal. We have keep twelve other companies moving and growing while nurturing two more startup companies while changing accounting systems. I have implementing a multi-lateral accounting and production system that down streamed six additional companies for the private equities funds. I built out a sox compliant accounting system with internal controls and audit capabilities for future growth. With frugal management of the company’s employees and resources the company has managed to stay drilling during the recent down turn and has remained profitable for our investors and a company. Through some tax strategies and planning we have saved the company several million dollars in the past year and streamlined many of the process, and functions of the company to save a lot of money.
