Set up distributors for international SIM offerings to potential travel agents in the region, in partnership with Mobily Telecom.

I have appointed channel partners throughout this region who are able to distribute thousands of SIMs to clients travelling in the middle east region.

Manager Sales:

In this role, my responsibilities included marketing the products and services being offered by our company to our valued telecom service provider clients. Managed a team of seasoned professionals, and conducted high level meetings and presentations of our products and services with top company executives of our clients.

Played a key role in marketing Redline Communications RedConnex Advanced broadband wireless infrastructure/backhaul solution to Wateen Telecom (Abu Dhabi Group), and was able to close the deal for a sizeable order of these units for deployment.

Marketed our products and services to premium wireless service providers in the middle east like Warid Telecom (Abu Dhabi Group), Telenor and Mobilink communications. Secured multi million dollar projects from these companies in fiber optic communications sector, CCTV security and surveillance equipments.

Managed an IT project using Cisco VOIP communication equipment in Wateen telecom, and our company implemented a complete VOIP based call centre network for Wateen using Cisco core and catalyst switches.

1998-2006 Sony of Canada Toronto, Canada.

Retail Sales Manager

It was my responsibility to manage three flagship stores owned by Sony of Canada in Toronto. Each store had its own store manager and asst store manager that reported to me. It was my job to ensure that these stores displayed the most cutting edge and top of the line products being offered by Sony of Canada. I was responsible to ensure that sales target of each store were met, and the sales increased on a month to month basis.

Managed the chain of Sony owned Retail Stores in Mississauga, Brampton, and Etobicoke in the Greater Toronto Area.

Increased the sales of the Sony stores consistently by offering new product launches, promotions and best services in the market to customers, in Sony Stores.

Constantly invested in sales staff training to provide them with the best product knowledge of Sony products in the market.

Improved the ambiance of the Sony Stores to offer the customers a unique experience every time they walked into our stores.

Marketing Manager:

In this position, I was primarily responsible to market the products and services being offered by the company all over Pakistan. I managed a sales team in order to set up distributors throughout Punjab and Sindh for all the major products being manufactured by this company.

Played a key role in marketing the locally manufactured equipments like UPS systems, telephone exchanges, antenna boosters etc., in the Punjab market.

Set up a chain of distributors all over Punjab and Sindh, to market our company’s products and services in smaller cities of Punjab, and Karachi.

Obtained distribution for Telegold Telecom products from Goldstar (LG Electronics). Set up a comprehensive dealer network in Lahore, and other cities of Punjab for all of these products.
