Biography:

Simone Alessandro Tavoni graduated his bachelor of music ( piano diplome ) at the Conservatorio “Giacomo Puccini” of La Spezia when he was 18 with Marco Podestà. He moved to Florence where he pursued his studies at Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini with Giuseppe Fricelli and composition with Rosario Mirigliano . Winner of an exchange program opportunity supported by a scholarship he went to study in Budapest at the Franz Liszt Academy with Kesckes Balazs, receiving lessons with Laszlo Baranyay, Andras Kemenes and masterclasses by Zoltan Kocsis and Malcolm Bilson.

He moved then to London where is currently attending a master of performance at the Royal College of Music with Andrew Ball. In autumn 2015, after winning a second exchange bursary, he went to study one term at the Hochschule fur Musik und Kunste of Stuttgart with Peter Nagy.

He gave concerts in U.K., Denmark, Hungary, France, Spain, Malta and across Italy. The venues included the Liszt House (Budapest), The Florence Conservatory concert hall( Florence), The Victoria & Albert Museum, the Regent hall and San James Church in Piccadilly ( London ), the Hausmusik of Aarhus ( Denmark ) . Other venues include Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol ( U.K.), Copenhagen ( Denmark ), Almeria ( Spain ), the EBEN piano festival in Lagrasse ( France) and many cities in Italy like Parma, Verona, Amalfi, Lucca, Viareggio, Massa, Merano, Carrara, Norcia and Pistoia.

Tavoni is generous supported by the Henry Wood trust scholarship, he is the winner of the BBC pathway scheme 2015 / 2016. He has been recorded by BBC radio 3 and by the Canal del Sur( Andalusia, Spain).
