EXPERIENCE
DADA LOGISTICS - Grupo RB, Argentina (www.dadalogistica.com.ar) 02-2011 – 10-2015 Founded over 40 years ago, DADA is the leading Argentine logistics company for the automotive industry. It provides services such as warehousing, transportation, Jit, CKD and milk run. Starting at 30, the number of employees has risen to 500 in 2015.
Revenue: 50+ million dollars, in 2014.
Director of Shared Services – Member of the Board 09-2013 – 10-2015 Staff reporting to this position: 45
My main responsibility was to lead the group of managers in charge of each area: Finance & Administration, Human Resources, IT, Legal Advice, Purchasing and Auditing. Main Achievements:
- Legal Optimization and Savings
Changes in the legal corporate structure creating business units abroad which increased revenue by 3% of sales.
- Company Culture Modernization
The optimization of the company structure and the acquisition of a different management style enabled the company to work on Management by Objectives, therefore decentralizing accountability and the control of resources, both economic and in terms of staff. Taking into account the growth the company had experienced
(150%), it would have been impossible to efficiently run the company if this change had not been implemented.
- State of the Art Procedures
I spearheaded a “World Class” technological renewal project, implementing SAP ALL-IN-ONE ERP, SAP Cloud for Customer CRM and SGL TMS (Transport Management System). BOERO 2
- Efficient Funding
Analysis, design and implementation of a financial scheme essential to grow the business, brought about by opportunities. I was personally responsible for getting a $47 million peso government-sponsored loan (10% of Sales) for the construction of the company’s own Logistics Center (25.000 2m) and the renewal of the whole fleet of trucks in only 8 months.
- Negotiation Power
Due to a critical and significant reduction in the Argentine automotive industry, 350 employees had to be laid off. Through a successful negotiation with trade unions, conflicts and protests were completely avoided.
- Strategic Business Planning
I led the design and follow-up of a Balance Scorecard system, which resulted in savings for $5 million pesos
(1% of Sales) and the alignment of all the entire company across the board. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 02/2011 – 09/2013
