I worked in a team project that oversaw improvement of operational efficiencies in Human Resources department, gearing towards Joint Commission International Accreditation compliance. The mandate involved audit of employees files in order to ensure that they were up-to- date in relation to diverse professional disciplines. In the case of doctors, I would co-ordinate trainings for their short term courses in Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support and Fire and Safety. Aga Khan University Hospital eventually achieved JCI Accreditation which is the highest international hospital accreditation. It became the first hospital in East Africa and one of six other hospitals in Africa to receive this coveted accreditation.
