Manufacturer of specialty glazing for picture frames, display cases, and museums.

Sole provider of IT services to two manufacturing plants and remote users by coordinating contract programmers and shared services of the parent company’s helpdesk staff, network administrators and network architects. Managed a budget of $650,000 to improve the Epicor DataFlo ERP and SharePoint systems, administer change control and support auxiliary applications.

Led a team that designed and managed the development of the Advanced Shipping module, which improved the efficiency of customer shipments, finished goods inventory accuracy and fulfilled customer labeling requirements

Expanded and enhanced the use of bar coded documents for inventory reporting and control.

Implemented finished goods lot control for improved inventory accuracy and quality control.

Managed change control to meet SOX requirements. Created an electronic workflow to track about 75 change requests annually and record management approvals.

Managed six programmers and analysts responsible for manufacturing, financial, and order configuration applications on IBM AS/400. The I.T. department adapted and supported the company through five ownership changes, numerous software/platform conversions, and growth from $20M to $250M annual sales.

Implemented shop floor reporting utilizing RF and hard-wired terminals with scanners. Process resulted in the reduction of a data entry position as well as more timely and accurate inventory posting.

Designed and implemented an integrated production scheduling system for truck assembly lines linking configured sales and production orders, costing, and a serialized product registration/warranty database.

Utilized workflow management tool to monitor various business events and notify affected staff. Designed and implemented a system to automatically order over 1500 individual parts from Nissan Motors in conformance with Nissan’s production and shipping calendar.

Achieved significant cost savings through implementation of automatic faxing, eliminating preprinted forms for purchase orders, invoices, acknowledgments and delivery schedules.

Wrote product configuration and pricing rules for Barrett vehicles.
