Motivation in my life and my personal goal is to help others achieve beyond their wildest dreams and expectations and become integral parts of society. My belief is Education is the key to be personally and professionally successful.
A professional educator with 20+ years of instruction, training and development experience in Grades K through 12 with instruction of mathematics, language and arts, reading, history and science to all students, including special education and special needs students. Case Manager – overseeing and controlling approximately 75 white collar crime individuals, both male and female, preparing, maintaining and updating all files; working with probation officer, psychologist, employment manager and classification officers of correctional institutes; performed employment and home visits.
Case Manager of Home Confinement – approximate home confinement caseload of 25 residents, reviewed documentation to prepare residents for home confinement, effective interaction with Federal Bureau of Prisons, placing and monitoring home confinement residents, tracking progress of activities including employment, medical and probation appointments, close monitoring and reporting of home confinees and immediate reporting of any discrepancies or escapes from home confinement. Prepared and reviewed all documentation for release of home confinement as well as release from residential reentry center.
Florida Department of Corrections – All Male Prisons (Polk closed education program, transferred to Marion which was a great distance from residency and eventually transferred to Sumter which was closer in proximity to residency)

Academic Instructor – instructed grades 7, 8 and 9 in all subject matters; assisted in pre-GED and GED testing as well as TABE testing of inmates;
Juvenile Bootcamp Instructor – taught inmates that were going through court-ordered bootcamp to obtain their GED; instruction included computerized programs as well as manual instruction; updated records, recorded data and interacted with legal, family and court personnel.
Noteworthy:
As a juvenile bootcamp instructor, I had 7 special education students who not only completed the pre-GED and GED programs successfully, but who also had achieved the highest scores obtained by special education students at the institute, which was a first time occurrence at the institute. I was recognized for this accomplishment by the Director of the Juvenile Bootcamp Division and the Warden of the institute.
Marion Correctional Institute
Academic Instructor – instructed grades 7, 8 and 9 in all subject matters; taught juvenile offenders, ages 11 to 18 (these inmates were individually serving at least one life sentence, some of them were serving two or more life sentences).
Polk Correctional Institute
Academic Instructor – initially instructed grades K thru 5 in all subject matters; budget cuts limited number of teachers and I eventually taught grades K through GED in all subject matters including special education inmates; close interaction with classification officers, prepared lesson plans, testing including TABE, pre-GED and GED; worked in conjunction with special education teachers regarding special education students, problems, concerns, IEP’s, and recommendations, prepared, maintained and updated all records through release of inmates.
Interim Education Supervisor (dual role)/Academic Instructor – supervision of faculty and administrative staff, instructed inmates, ordered supplies, updated progress through meetings and consultations, trained, counseled, reviewed and reported progress and lack of progress meeting standards and goals of instructors and students; .
Library Paralegal – assisted inmates with appeals, motions, research and pleadings relating to their individual legal cases.
Temporary Substance Abuse Counselor Assistant – initial interview and consultation with inmates, prepared plan of treatment, assisted inmates with documentation, scheduled medical exams and follow-up, performed initial counseling on individual basis.
