-Shares the responsibility with the unit head nurse in order to maintain a safe environment within the unit taking into account health and safety, including infection control and risk assessments.

-Performs nursing duties with ethical responsibilities and critical thinker.
-Gives endorsements to incoming shifts and receives endorsement properly from previous shift (such as medications, OGT feeding, blood transfusions, etc.)
-Provides comprehensive quality care according to their individual needs, physical, physiological.
-Administers medications, treatments, and procedures (such as oxygen therapy, measures intake and output, monitoring drug reactions, etc.) as ordered.
-Assists doctors in performing procedures i.e., umbilical cannulation, newborn catch).
-Performs intravenous (IV insertion) and reinsertion, IV follow-ups including side drips.
