telecom/transmission engineering and project implementation responsible for

all aspects of turnkey telecom project.

An experienced telecommunications professional involved in turnkey projects

that included:

. Project Engineering from conducting site & LOS surveys, microwave link

design (backhaul/backbone) and performance analysis using Pathloss

V4/V5 and Google Earth, RF planning and interference analysis to

developing contract unit lists and BoMs.

. Project Management and Implementation. Tracked daily progress, updated

. Evaluated the line-of-site (LOS) of proposed cellsites linked to

other candidates and/or donor sites using Pathloss V5 and Google

Earth Pro, in New York, VA, DC and MD.

. Updated Sprint databases (ClearVision, Appian, EPT) to reflect recent

changes.

. Attended and participated in presentations conducted by Ceragon,

DragonWave and Fastback Network Solutions on their latest microwave

. Oversaw the installation, testing (with 24hr BER) and commissioning

of Aviat's Eclipse MW radios or Saudi MOI's Public Safety Radio

Network with electrical or optical interfaces. It also included

Motorola MTS4 base stations, GPS, IP phones, Patch Panels/DACs (CAT5)/

Rectifiers/ Inverters/Batteries, HD Camera and OMNI/Parabolic

antennas/feeders. Technical support in troubleshooting systems and LOS

issues.

. Project management and implementation (completed in 2010) of the

rollout of MTC's (Zain) backbone microwave system using Siemens SRA4 &

SRT1F SDH radios and hiT7070 series ADM/MUXs (32E1 to STM-4(OC12), a

NSN/Nokia sub-contract.

. Using Aviat Networks Eclipse packet MW radios, installed, tested and

commissioned 82 digital MW links of up to 400Mb/s capacity in

Abha/Khamis area for STC's LTE field trial (via a Samsung/Aviat

Networks subcontract, Sep-Dec 2011).

. Lead man responsible for system engineering, installation, testing and

commissioning of J2007 Project of Saudi Telecom Co.(STC) using Nera

InterLink and Evolution SDH radios including CISCO Routers &

Inverters, Nera NetMaster NMS & HP server. Configured each radio

terminal with IP and Subnet addresses and set it to work on OSPF

routing protocol.

. In-charge (Year 2005) of dismantling, reconfiguration, inventory &

retesting for redeployment of over 120 Nokia BTS cabinets at the HATCO

testing facility (R02).

. Responsible of receiving from other Contractors decommissioned cell

site equipment for storage that included shelters with all cabinets

and outdoor equipment, tower steel, antenna mounts and perimeter

fencing hardware.

. Implemented a field trial microwave link for STC using Dragonwave

Horizon (3 hops).

. Involved in LOS and site surveys and supervised the

implementation/commissioning of a microwave ring around Riyadh for

Saudi Oger using E-Band 70/80 GHz equipment.

. Prime Engineer (year 2006-2007) in the turnkey system engineering of

the SDH backbone network of the 2nd UAE Operator, du, a Nokia Sub-

contract. Over 40 microwave hops in 4 rings, deployed Nera Interlink

SDH radios (up to 4+1) and Andrew antenna systems. The scope also

included site/LOS surveys, installation, acceptance testing &

commissioning phases. Configured each radio terminal with IP and

Subnet addresses and set it to work on OSPF routing protocol.

. Prepared and submitted (year 2008) a proposal for a complete microwave

system (STM-1, 1+0) for MODA Border Security Project (for EADS Defense

& Security) consisting of 39 sites using Nera Evolution radios in the

Northern Border of Saudi Arabia.

. Prepared and submitted to GPT (SANG) a proposal for 25km OSP Fiber

Optic link from MODA HQ to Riyadh SANG HQ using Single Mode (G.652D

24F & G.655 24F) FO cables.

. Developed Method of Procedures, Floor Plans, DC power calculations,

schedules and test procedures/forms for the field teams using SW

applications MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Outlook (for emails) and

AUTOCAD. Generated request for licensed RF channel utilization and

submitted these to Saudi Spectrum Management organization.

3. Systems Engineer (Transmission), House of Invention Int'l, PO Box 15963,

Riyadh 11454, Saudi Arabia; From Jan 1, 2003 to Sept 30, 2004 (Full

time: 48 hours/week)

. Turnkey engineering of 53 SDH microwave sites being upgraded and 19

SDH microwave sites with new systems (total value: SAR 25m), a part of

TEP450K project of STC.

. Prepared Propagation Survey Reports and Method of Procedures (MoP)

that included work description, contract unit list, frequency plans,

system availability calculations and installation details.

. As a part of Junction 2003 Project of STC, was involved in system

engineering of 8 microwave links awarded to Nera/HOI using Nera's

CityLink SDH Radios and using Pathloss V4.0 design software.

4. Principal Engineer (Microwave) B-Level, Lucent Technologies (SA)

formerly AT&TI (from Western Electric International, Saudi Arabia), PO Box

From Jan 1, 1981 to Dec 31, 2002 (Full time: 40 hours/week)

. Turnkey system engineering of PDH and SDH (STM-1/OC3) microwave radios

(up to 7+1) and antenna systems including associated AT&T digital

MUXs/ADMs(STM-1/OC3) to STM-4/OC12) of the TEP6/GSM Expansion Project.

It also included DDFs, Network Management System (NMS), TV and Audio

Codecs, DC power and later engineered Lucent's Acculink and AnyMedia

Access Systems. Developed BOMs for equipment ordering. Authored a

network design for the microwave links.

. Prepared Contract Change Orders as requested by Saudi Telecom Co.

(STC) for new sites and/or new contract units not in the original

TEP6/GSM contract.

. Conducted frequency coordination studies and RF interference

calculations of the expansion microwave hops and generated radio

license applications for approval.

. During summer vacation, was assigned to coach a few Saudi Trainees who

were on on-the-job training with Lucent on the aspects of radio

engineering used in Saudi.

. Participated in the radio propagation (fading) investigation conducted

by Bell Labs in 2 microwave hops of Route 32 (1990-1991), after

visiting a site in Parr, Florida.

. Worked at AT&T main office (1988) in USA providing engineering

assistance in the preparation of international bids for the

Philippines (PLDT), Thailand, Chile and Bolivia.
