Material Resource Planner / Controller

First MRP controller at the CCAS launch site, supporting 50 Atlas V and Delta IV launches with zero launch schedule parts impacts, released over 150 production orders and tracked over 1200 line items per vehicle.

Developed and presented a weekly status of mission critical hardware to upper management, resolved conflicts, anticipated potential issues and presented solutions.

Produced and executed a formula for the procurement, testing, and inventory of shelf life materials, greatly reducing production down time and priority lab tests.

Created and implemented a critical flight spares bill of material for the Atlas vehicle, allowing minimal schedule impacts during the process flow, saving $15K annually.

Served as the SAP subject matter expert, resolved conflicts with production order releasing, staging, transfer requirements and orders, batches, and serial numbers.

Co-authored and implemented several SAP MRP process modules to ensure corporate compliance and maintain consistent practices between Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Decatur, Denver and Harlingen sites.

Developed over 50 detailed SAP desktop instructions, allowing seamless support during operations and ensuring consistent corporate compliance.

As the designated material expert, engaged in 5 major Kaizen Events, resulting in a reduction of 10 days of launch site processing per Atlas V vehicle, saving over $3M annually.

Configuration Material Review Board member, reviewed engineering changes and submitted release dates based on material lead or build times and reported potential schedule impacts and recovery plans.

Prepared analysis for multiple CAB (Corrective Action Board), including casual and fishbone. Responded and implemented corrective actions across all departments.

Logistics Spares Analyst Lead

Established “womb-to-tomb” method of spares analysis and replenishment. With minimal additional workload, was able to reduce total processing time by 25%.

Combined the production and spares procurement process into a single “swim lane”, eliminating duplicate purchase orders and ensuring spares were accurate and available on time, realizing annual savings of $125K.

As the GOLD (Government Online Logistics Database) system administrator provided all inventory, cycle count, usage and other custom reports and metrics on demand.

Lead the transition from in-house component rebuild/repair/rework to using an external supplier. Included writing and establishing new processes for special tooling, soft goods, cleaning requirements and quality controls to meet requirements.

Top to Bottom deep dive into all warehouse procedures, eliminated 60% duplicate processing, reduced head count by 40%, and continued to maintain 98% inventory accuracy.

Created, linked, and combined multiple cleaning, routing, packaging and stockroom forms into a single database, reducing input errors and level of effort by 25%.

Created a critical-to-launch spares list and reporting tool. This was a byproduct of the “lessons learned” post launch departmental engagements, providing continuous improvements and refinements.
